As humorous as it is to watch this utter shitstorm with thousands of dollars going down the drain, I can't help but feel that sooner or later, someone will find a way to bypass this detection and cycle will repeat.

It's a simple concept that one could not sadly understand, and now the most rare (If not, then it's one of them. I know there are other ones, but damn.) item in the game is unable to be traded to someone else. Which I believe also removes it from your inventory, like completely? I dunno, I had a "friend" that got his traded stuff removed from his backpack when he went to VACation.

So... what's UGC going to do now that it's confirmed that there were cheaters playing and winning in their leagues? I know if I was playing and doing well enough only to be shut down by some underhanded tactics, I'd want for not only the offending player to be punished, but the rest of his team to be punished as well since they clearly benefited the most from having players like that on their team.
I'm glad that something is being done, but the old man in me is also saying "[B]NOT GOOD ENOUGH![/B]" as we can clearly see from two people here gloating/moaning at what has happened. If close to 10K users were banned because they used the program to cheat, that's not a good thing in my eyes. Valve has ignored this game so much that it got pretty bad, and I'm seeing people say that they avoided public games because of these cheaters, and they probably still won't even go near those servers. This should of been taken care of well before Valve decided to go all gung-ho on catering to the competitive crowd, they should of made it harder for people to cheat, given them harsher punishments, make it so that they're afraid to even say what program they use. I'm glad a good majority of them are gone, but there will still be the little shits with no time and plenty of disposable income that will persist on being as much of a jackass as possible, and exploit the system for their own benefit.
I'm sorry to be a wet blanket here, but this situation is just silly to me. Also, for the two cheaters... you may want to bite your tongues, if Valve really is trying to clean up before the release, do you really think they won't do another sweep to see what they missed?
