LMAOBOX is finally dead. Valve takes a stance against cheaters!
no it's the opposite. They want to come off as decent folks to save their rep and items
Lots of expensive items that are extremely hard to find, and take lots of hard work just to get them. Would anybody really shrug off losing a backpack that's worth upwards of thousands of dollars, and still claim to be as cool as a cucumber? I've got a stupidly expensive backpack, and I KNOW I'd be upset if I lost all of it in a day. That's like 3 months worth of food to me!
All these people who act cocky, make excuses, or try to desperately get back into the game using some sort of exploit actually are upset. If they weren't, they wouldn't go through all the trouble of saving face, or trying to side step the ban. So don't be fooled by any of their bullshit, they're cheaters, they want back into the game, they want their items back, and they want to be invincible again. Nothing more to it than that. Just nobody go and try to provoke them anymore than they already are right now.
BTW, peeked back at the ban numbers, almost at 11k, I really do think it's good that all these people are gone, but come on Valve!
Honestly its not even the fact that all these guys used aimbots that's bad, its that all these people who got caught knew the consequences but are trying to make it look like valve are the bad guys and that they're saints who did nothing wrong to the point where of random people were shown how they were acting, they'd assume they were children at best.

It was at 10k a few hours ago.
Maybe it might peak to 20K.
I find it strange why a lot of these people are trying to find ways to justify their behavior. I think it'd make a nice psychology report.
They're trying to save face about being COLOSSAL pricks with their hacks. They thought they were untouchable, created this "2 gud 4 u" ego and now it lays before them in pieces.
They may come across as "I don't care" but behind the monitor, they're holding back the tears.
What can I say - they'd be retarded to ignore the risk they carried by hacking so they only have themselves to blame for being dependant on the hacks in the first place (especially those higher up the league, who seemed couldn't play without their crutch hacks doing the work).
This is not correct. If you had looked at the UGC thread where the news first broke, you'd see it was miggy who emailed Eric over a month ago. MaxBox is trying to take credit to get attention and donations on his twitch stream to buy himself tickets and travel to PAX.
I stand corrected then.
I though your items are removed if you get VACd?

Where does one find the total number of casualties?
I though your items are removed if you get VACd?
They should giveaway or Auction off the items of VAC'd players.
Where does one find the total number of casualties?
SteamDB has a page that monitors VAC bans, keep in mind though those numbers are VAC bans overall.
I though your items are removed if you get VACd?
They are and to be honest they shouldn't
They are and to be honest they shouldn't
Can you tell us why they shouldn't ? After all.. they are only virtual item. Their owners are supposed to be banned from the game and they are now totally useless.
Reporting cheaters in this thread isn't going to make you feel any better about cheaters.
I though your items are removed if you get VACd?
Your items are marked untradeable (and uncraftable in TF2). They've effectively penned in the items on the cheating account just to rub salt into the wound that they've lost x amount of money (as well as to prevent people from just jumping ship to a new account with their items).
I think it used to delete your items though (I remember DrunkenF00ls backpack being emptied during the Golden Wrench Vac ban spree).
Never mind
Reporting cheaters in this thread isn't going to make you feel any better about cheaters.
Yeah, but it's pretty funny to see them being salty and struggling with their situation. After all, ruining other people gaming's experience is pretty much a dick move generally.

So getting VAC banned marks all your items untradable and uncraftable? I always thought it just deleted them
Yeah, but it's pretty funny to see them being salty and struggling with their situation. After all, ruining other people gaming's experience is pretty much a dick move generally.
Yeah who cares, don't report them if they didn't break forum rules.
Afaik they never deleted your complete inventory. Items which have been bought (e.g. uncrates, mann co store purchases) would remain in your backpack.
So getting VAC banned marks all your items untradable and uncraftable? I always thought it just deleted them
I think it used to, but once people started spending real cash on items/skins - deleting them would probably bring up some form of court case about removing "paid for items" (unlike games where you're told you "rent" a CD Key for a one off payment).
Besides, keeping them there is MUCH better a punishment. You see your shiny items, but you can't have them. It's much better than just deleting them. Prolong the pain n'all that.
I just noticed something
How did he know he would be banned? Did he knew that Lmaobox would be detectable today or what? That's pretty suspicious.
To shamelessly copy someone's comment regarding that:
Upgrade every existing Cheater's Lament to Cheater's Lamentier. [Sp]Because Ghastlier Gibus[/SP]. And then distribute new Cheater's Laments to everyone who wasn't VAC'ed.
or simply upgrade it into Vintage Cheater's Lament. Could work as well.
JCapps is cherry on the top with new VAC wave, indeed. I like the idea behind keeping items in inventory, even if banned people can't use them. Serves them right.

I assume he didn't knew, that's just damage control.

I'm getting slightly confused here, so purchased items bought through Steam in the persons inventory is marked untradable, and items that the person got from trading are deleted?

No, all items remain your inventory.
Before Mannconomy (and paid items like keys) - VAC would delete your items (regardless of them being traded or found). After the Mannconomy update, all items remain in your inventory but are untradeable and uncraftable. This is the same across other VAC VALVe games (like CS:GO).

I see I have purchased alot of items on a third party website TF2shop.net, and I was curious if they would be removed if I did get VAC banned

OK, this person sucks, we get it. I'm glad she's banned too but can we not post videos calling her a fat whale? We don't have to emotionally abuse everyone who is richer and more obnoxious than us.

Buying from a third-party site is the same as trading.

get bopped nerdo
can people stop this fucking excuse, if you were trying to get banned you wouldn't use the previously undetectable hacks, you'd use the shitty one
Yay for VAC, I guess.
A burning team captain and three HoUWAR's
Keep in mind that he can still see them, not use them in any case. Which is even better.

I can remember that it used to wipe the entire non-store bought inventory of VAC Banned persons four years ago (So even after the Mannconomy Update), when loads of LMAOBOX users also got VAC Banned off in a ban wave then. I also remember one of those guys still being platinum fucking mad at me three whole years later because I rubbed in the fact that said guy lost a 600 dollar unusual thanks to that....
That said, seeing those cheaters go completely bonkers because they lost their entire hideously expensive inventories and their status won't ever get me bored. Good fucking riddance to them.
