To be honest, it's kinda sad that people would buy all these items and then hack just to lose them all in the end. Not only does it effect them, but it also effects the economy. In short words: Rest in peace to a Golden Pan and a Burning Flames TC.
I don't feel bad, I just wish something could be done with those items.
I don't feel bad, I just wish something could be done with those items.
give them to starving African children
I don't feel bad, I just wish something could be done with those items.
Hey they paid for those items and they get to keep them. On non-vac servers.
Found the profile of a guy I saw using LMAObox ahwile back. FEELS GOOD MAN. FEELS GOOD.
It's amazing how driving people in a corner causes this desperation At least i can play TF2 in peace without fear of hackers now
Wow, it seems like most hackers made their profiles private! Top keek they tought they could hide their VAC.
It's amazing how driving people in a corner causes this desperation At least i can play TF2 in peace without fear of hackers now
Hackers are still going to persist. There just won't be as many as there were.
Plenty of Russian private hacks still available... My vacstat.us list got 30% purged, cheaters still active. It's funny that, even with the lmaobox detection, fresh accounts that use lmaobox take a while to get banned. I reported this dude: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198300670485 (he got slapped) then he created another account and resumed cheating (dumb enough to cheat on the same server) http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198302116001 As usual, I report any cheatmonkeys, I'm expecting another ban for that fresh account of his, but lmaobox detection needs to trigger instantly, not after a week.

Unfortunately, Valve does say that they need something more concrete than reports to ban someone.
Note: VAC does not ban based on reports. Such data is only used for tracking and statistics purposes.
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1010-TOKN-8461
Your reports won't do anything, they are used for statistical purposes.
Reports with video footage, I forgot to mention that... Cheaters get banned way faster if you send Valve a video of them spamming the chat with: "Get good! Get LMAObox" That's for damn sure...
Reports with video footage, I forgot to mention that... Cheaters get banned way faster if you send Valve a video of them spamming the chat with: "Get good! Get LMAObox" That's for damn sure...
I'm almost 100% sure noone will look at those reports regardless what you attach to it. People with more common hacks tend to get vac'd faster, that might be the reason why you think videos of people spamming chat do anything.
It would make a great psychology thesis: Cheating in video games - the best way to create a toxic, hopeless ego.
Not exactly a new or original thought, but it just shows you how some people's inhibitions (that they normally have to adhere to in real life due to society's mores, pressures, and the threat of real-life repercussions) completely go away when they can hide behind the anonymity and there's no threat of proper negative sanctions. I'm not saying one's behaviour online is always indicative of their true self, of course, I'm sure there's plenty of trolls, cheaters and online assholes that are relatively nice folks in RL and help elderly ladies across the street and save puppies, but... I'm also pretty sure that plenty of people that exhibit extreme cases of online cheating, harrasment, trolling, flaming etc. are borderline sociopaths that would be capable of many things if you gave them a magic button to do something to a random person halfway across the globe, and assured them they wouldn't suffer any punishment. Probably coming across as a jaded, cynical guy in my late 20s that's perhaps reading into this phenomenon more than I should, but I really feel like there's a whole generation of teens and 20-somethings that are taking the whole ''it's just the internet, relax'' thing way too far in order to justify legit harrasment and taking a sad/disturbing amount of pleasure from deliberately aggravating and ruining other people's online experiences.

FEELS GOOD.
i know exactly how you feel. i met this guy a long time ago (probably over a year ago now) and i've remembered his steam profile id ever since just so i can wait to see him get banned. and he even claims that he wasn't using hacks :v:
I'm kind of curious if the "high level" comp people that got banned actually used the hack in comp or if they just used it in pubs to be shitlords to pubbies.
I'm kind of curious if the "high level" comp people that got banned actually used the hack in comp or if they just used it in pubs to be shitlords to pubbies.
I'd assume a mix of both.

Making new profile that will not get VAC'd for no fucking reason. AHAHAAHAHAHHAH to be in such denial :v: they were so confident they refuse their bans :') really, this ban waves help.. however, he didn't lose anything of value, he only had weapon in his bp.
I don't think anyone in UGC Steel thinks they're hot shit. That might be true of the plat sniper who got vac'd, but 99% of them were in the lowest-level competitive league available, with no entry restrictions (minus not having a VAC ban).
its always weird when folks who hack say they just want the game to die. Its like wanting someone who is on life support to die....but then still paying for the life support to be kept on.
its always weird when folks who hack say they just want the game to die. It's weird how there's this almost lifestyle built around hacking. The flashy hats, the ego, topping the scoreboard, the bios, the active online presence. It's like a life where they're hot shit all the time and have to let everyone know it- like how cartoons portray the cool mean kids in a school.
this is annoying because the quote half-hidden on his profile is from a good movie
Vac Bans are like tears in the rain.
Hollywood does have a tendency to glamourize people who cheat the system e.g. 21 (card counting), Catch Me If You Can (check fraud), Wall Street (insider trading)
Card counting isn't cheating really
Card counting isn't cheating really
What is considered cheating can be subjective.
but now without lmaobox i wont be getting called a cheater as often for sniping enemy snipers who jump and zig zag around for quickscopes by just standing still
Card counting isn't cheating really
It's not illegal it's frowned upon, like masturbating in an airplane.
like masturbating in an airplane.
literally wtf
