There is still tomorrow.
updates on a friday are generally ones that produce very few bugs like cosmetic updates. This update wouldn't be that. If it was just going to be passes handed out, they would have done it before anyways.
You guys think it'd be nice if they started accepting cosmetics separately from game changes? Although keeping the traditional way is good for hype, I think
Is it just me for some reason or are the Cuban Bristle Crisis flexes still completely broken? They still seem broken in-game and in SFM as well.

If so, don't - cosmetic items don't include HWM flexes, and HWM models in TF2 in general haven't been supported by Valve for years. In SFM, you'll just kind of have to animate/pose the beard separately from the face.
I thought they disabled hwm models in game some time ago.

No way around it.
Valve disabled the HWM commands. Cosmetic flexes in this game are just shit, at least clientside. No way around it.
I'll test it out to see if disabling that fixes the flexes. If it does, I guess Valve never disabled those commands. EDIT: Looks like turning the HWM cvars to 0 didn't do anything. I mean I looked up close at the heavy's face moving and the CBC isn't completely static. but it barely moves. Is it supposed to pretty much stick to his face perfectly? Because it's nowhere near 1:1 with his facial movement.

Im just waiting on the cosmetic updates, I better have not bought a Dead Of Night for nothing
I hope something happens today :dead:
Hey all, I've got a question for you: If not now, what would be the "dark ages" for lack of updates and feedback? What has been the worst stretch of time so far?
Hey all, I've got a question for you: If not now, what would be the "dark ages" for lack of updates and feedback? What has been the worst stretch of time so far?
Definitely 2013
Hey all, I've got a question for you: If not now, what would be the "dark ages" for lack of updates and feedback? What has been the worst stretch of time so far?
There was a pretty bad time between what smissmas and gun mettle
Probably this.
Probably this.
That was pretty sad.
Probably this.
So uh my friend Stan doesn't get this thing but I totally do can you explain this to my friend?
Definitely 2013
But that year we had an update that summer which set a new president for communication and game balance. Oh and we also got the Two Cities Update which was pretty good.
So uh my friend Stan doesn't get this thing but I totally do can you explain this to my friend?
Christmas 2013 was widely considered a pathetic last minute effort update. Only a handful of rebalances (several of them being unnecessary or forgettable), No comic or anything to hype the christmas update up, It was released in a year where the only thing of any substance was two cities which didn't even impact the normal game, just mvm, and to top it all off they didn't even bother to make a poster for the blog. Just straight grabbed one from a steam workshop submission. Also weapons came with the past 3 christmas updates so it was a major letdown that it brought no weapons and only 1-2 decent rebalances edit: and yeah like chandler said there was a huge gap of nothing until L&W came
and then that picture sat there for like six months before the next blog post. edit: ok more like three, but the wait was still too long for me.
Welp, there went the game changer. It's called waiting for a super magical secret update that isn't real.
I switched out my crosshair for the first time in months. That's a fairly significant game changer I'd say.
But that year we had an update that summer which set a new president for communication and game balance. To me, the 'dark ages' (but in a different way) was the period between the Manniversary update (October 2011) and Scream Fortress 2012 due to the game going through a really long period of huge crashing and other technical issues that plagued many players, not just me. It actually started with Manniversary update (adding the third item slot and increasing entity counts) and things went woefully downhill for me and many others. Forums were full of people reporting constant crashes (I could rarely play for more than an hour without crashing out, and had very little problems with TF2 before that), plus you would often run out of memory for some reason during map changes and ctd as well. Add to that the fact many people at the time were affected by driver crashes while playing TF2 on specific (but common at the time) Nvidia cards (8xxx, 9xxx, GT2xx and GT3xx series; I had Geforce 9600 GT card) and you can imagine how fucking pissed I was at TF2's technical state at the time. MvM also added constant crashes if I used multicore rendering, so I had to disable it (which cost me quite a lot of fps) until Scream Fortress 2012 fixed that. You think TF2's technical issues are bad now with stuff like dropping framerates, invisible players or multiple weapons being displayed at once? 2011-2012 was terrible for me and many other players in that regard, I was really close to quitting the game altogether because it would crash like mad on a PC that could handle it easily between 2008 and autumn 2011. Forums at the time were full of users raging at constant crashes and technical woes. I dunno if it was really that third cosmetic slot or it just became a symbol/scapegoat for all the game's stability issues, but the game really was fucked up beyond hope for many of us back then. It was definitely in a worse state for me than it is now.

I still think that one drawing of the Heavy is worse
