Item server is back, nothing happened...just the Tough Break campaign pass is now 2.99 on the Mann.Co Store.
100% less new update for 50% of the price!
Didn't someone say that the number of Tough Break passes bought were significantly lower than Gun Mettle's? That could explain why they're doing this sale now.
At least we have Thursday
Great, now there's FOUR miss paulings staring at me from the blog page.
But what if this is the gamechanger?
I mean, it is a low-low price!
game changing for sure
it doesn't make much sense to me to halt the item server for hours just to reduce the price of a dumb contract ticket

Obviously, I know quite a few do like these "campaigns" as they bring something to do in TF2 but a few disadvantages were the skins/cases and a few contacts that were made easily. Some of these skins are nice but expensive on the market usually, and the fact with "cases" from the last 2 major update by Valve and community update "Invasion". People are getting tired of these kind of updates, not everyone is enjoying it but as to some.
at this rate the splash image for the next update is just gonna be the same picture of miss pauling on a different background carrying a different new shotgun skin
Dumb question here, will the Matchmaking update have an blogpost or entire page for it?

This is actually a large jump, as here's the image I posted back in the first week of sales in December

probably an entire page and a blogpost
The way everybody considers this update as the savior of tf2 is astonishing. This won't meet your expectations because even if MM does magically put you into perfect games consistently, you can't fix people attitudes. You're still going to face a million lennyfaces and taunters and bind shit.

And then you can't see the messages of the few people on your team who might be trying to coordinate, which is (hopefully) going to be important in matchmaking.
I'd rather Valve just removed Quickplay, but it's too late for that now. Hopefully matchmaking is alright.
Did you guys forget that when you mute someone in voice chat it also mutes them in text chat.

Meanwhile, on the blog page:

Tough Breaks low sales aren't all that surprising. Everything they got wrong with Gun Mettle remains, while almost everything they got right with Gun Mettle has been changed for the worse. I still haven't figured out the contract drop system and I'm six away from completing them.
I learned how the system works during gun mettle. You never get the skins you want via contracts so doing them is pointless. It's just achievements that you pay for. Not worth it IMO.
Spend the pass money on the skins you want once they get cheap enough, live on happy.

Not necessarily. If you sell your first couple drops immediately, you should make your pass money back and then some. I've made a pretty solid profit selling cases in the first couple weeks, and I also got a FN high rollers medi gun.
She's holding a pda instead of the drink now

Pretty good
Why are they legit just modifying/photoshopping Pauling slightly for every Tough Break-based picture?
Why are they legit just modifying/photoshopping Pauling slightly for every Tough Break-based picture?
art team is bored

that was solid advice back in gun mettle and invasion. for the first few weeks, crate and skin drops were worth a solid amount of money on the market and you were basically guaranteed to make all your money back and then some.
for tough break, though? it looked like the prices plummeted almost immediately. and i don't think i managed to break even this time. if this pattern keeps up, the next campaign won't be worth it at all unless they do something like pull another invasion and artificially hold back crates for a while to let them build up value.
