A little bit off-topic, but what exactly is happening with this dude that people aren't necessarily appreciating? I can't really see anything except that he thinks everybody is replying to him specifically
None of his posts have anything to do with update speculation.
if we're talking about model updates that are necessary, I'd rather talk about the Family Business and the Candy Cane
the Cane is pixels incarnate and the Family Business is just heinous

Doesn't FB still eject shells from your face in first person view?
do you even read through his posts
No because I have other things in my life that are more important than reading through a random user's posts, hence my question

Well at least we know what happened to them.
Snip
I dunno how often Valve goes through the workshop like now, but I can't help but feel like something's coming due to all the flagged incompatible items cropping up now

I doubt Valve ever goes through the workshop except to add stuff, so you're probably right.
Announcing the Matchmaking Cosmetics Case!
Stuff that is already in the game was marked.
This looks like a bug.
Nah, it's just being Valve being a shitty company and using shitty code
as usual

Most likely. Unless I'm understanding the Gmod Workshop wrong, a bunch of stuff got flagged there as well.
Is there a way to just see the "marked incompatible" ones?
None of his posts have anything to do with update speculation.
Not that I'm defending them, but isn't that - at least in part - the case with most of the posts here as of late?
Back on topic, I think the Cotton Head is somewhat of a decent candidate for being all-class even though it's most likely just because of the current trend of making hats multi-class.

Thanks, I missed that option somehow.
imagine a world where valve releases a strangifier that works on every weapon, and its easily obtainable
the economy would be in shambles but who gives a shit i want my strange quickie bomb launcher
I still can't get over how unique Rocket models was flagged when they actually contribute to knowing your enemy/ally
I think the rockets would go too fast to really notice them when firing, although reload and the banner taunt could use them. I find it strange that the air strike rockets are different when they're fired, but are the same as stock when reloaded.
Also the rocket jumper shouldn't shoot rockets, just puffs of air like an airzooka would really help the whole new players still trying to kill with it thing.

Same reason why every shell based item spits them out backwards and from the wrong slot, How do they fuck up that bad?
Overall TF2 is just inconsistent with the visual aspect of it

Friendly reminder that a pair of sunglasses were almost denied because they stretched the art style.
But a severed cartoon rabbit head wasn't and apparently didn't.

uhh, I dont see a difference to how it was before?
uhh, I dont see a difference to how it was before?
They were accidentally marked as incompatible in a big workshop-wide flagging wave earlier today, along with a bunch of other items, but it looks like it's being taken care of.
I still can't get over how unique Rocket models was flagged when they actually contribute to knowing your enemy/ally
I think perhaps the problem was that they couldn't properly credit the contribution. You can't give them a slice of the weapon's sales, because that would screw with the pre-existing revenue split/shares for the launchers.

Admittedly, having different trails, explosion effects, or sounds would be a lot easier to see and distinguish than fast-moving rocket models.
However, aside from healing crosses on the Black Box trail, I can't really think of how to balance the particle effects so it doesn't look like perpetual chaos.

Direct Hit could have a much thinner and lighter colored trail to highlight its speed, and the Black Box's smoke trail could be much darker with the health crosses in it to give it some personality. Anything could really work as long as the trails and visual cues matched what the weapons did
Friendly reminder that a pair of sunglasses were almost denied because they stretched the art style.

The problem with "keeping the artstyle intact" is everyone has a different line they draw. The same people who work on the game now probably aren't the same as the people who worked on it two, maybe three years ago. Meaning something that might not have been accepted earlier could be and vice versa.

They were almost denied not because of the art style, but because of the time period. Shutter shades of that kind didn't exist until the 80s.
...Not that any of this matters when they added a boombox a little over a year later.
They should just make the Rocket Jumper use the Air Strike's rocket model since they already look like they're made out of foam
