Because if you do them at your own pace people will abuse it and flood the market with crates and weapons, significantly dropping their value and the revenue Valve recieves.

I just wish we could choose what contracts we get. Soda Popper was a nightmare.

The problem with rocket models probably has more to do with compensation and legal stuff than anything. How do you pay the modeller for their rocket models when somebody else made the actual weapon model?

Depends on how they handle it.

If it's a soft launch of beta invites going out, they may just do a small quiet update for it, and save a more bombastic "Comp matchmaking is here!" update for full release.

we don't really - he's friends with some valve employees and plays competitive, that's about it
