Escrow locked me out of trading for nearly 3 months. Also, why punish the majority for a select minority causing issues? Bar some huge security flaw within valve, the only way someone can lose their items is by their own mistake. Either trusting some random person they just added by clicking their clickbait links, falling for some scam such as trading your valuables to a "friend" to "verify" the purchase, or just having a bad password; there is no reason you should ever fear for losing access to your account and items.

The face that Gray made in those panels was actually spot-on for the situation. In the story, his last-ditch effort to keep his war effort going was about to be destroyed by something inexplicable that he could not ever predict happening (time travelers from the future). It was a humanizing moment of him realizing that everything he's worked towards across so many years was about to fall apart to some deus ex machina. (Thankfully, Soldier was there to set things wrong.) Outside of that context it does look silly, but even back when that was new I very much praised those panels as some of the best in the comic. They just stand out because they're probably the one emotional thing there (shock and despair setting in) in the sea of silliness that was the entire plot premise.
Some of the faces in that comic legit remind me of that famous Rugrats storyboard with Stu. You know the one.

Nice idea, but bad execution.

That would be awesome if valve could do something similar. You simply press a button and enter the code when you log into your account. After a few logins on the same computer you won't be prompted again. a one time purchase of $6.50 is much more reasonable than buying a cell phone that is compatible with the steam app, and then paying for service.

Thankfully, they announced info on Thursday, so "he will live to see this weekend."
