someone on the TF2 team was let go?
geel and poptart sat in front of themselves, arguing. And arguing. And endlessly arguing.
"Could you please put a stop to this!" pleaded cha0s.
"It's creating healthy competition" is what response he heard not from geel, not from poptart.. but from the person in the shroud, Dazzgrace. Cha0s, dissapointed from the answer left again the dreaded place, for once, he would make another steady report to the Council.
So they still kept arguing for thousands of years, aeons of time. It is still said that when cha0s last visited the planet Tartarus, to which Jetamo and Craptasket have moved them, they were still arguing.
Im kinda done, I have already said what needs to be said and Judging from Geels response, further discussion with him would prove to be fruitless.

Are you talking about the "Formerly of Team Fortress software" part? Because Team Fortress Software is the name of the Quake Fortress team.
Where did this information come to fruition?

@_charon: His name was removed from Valve's people list, indicating he no longer works there.

Huh. That's like what, the 3rd most recent employee who's left the company?
MUS need a joke comic/book now, it could tell a "pipantarctic-ized" version of MUS form the first thread to the last.
I really wish we just had multiple, smaller Major Update Speculation threads for events where we knew Valve was hinting at something or otherwise thought it was safe to expect something (examples; Matchmaking Speculation, Upcoming Campaign Speculation, etc). As it is, this thread just feels like a surrogate TF2 general chat that people continually feel obligated to bump by discussing things that belong in other threads. In the midst of downtime like this, having one large thread just leads to a bunch of arguing and fighting since we have nothing to speculate, which just causes us to twiddle our thumbs and talk about nothing. We should be fine with letting this thread go dormant if there isn't anything to speculate. (Of course, we currently have vague hints at Matchmaking, but this is just in general...)
Back in the day, TF2 updates were more frequent and varied so it made sense to have a large thread, but nowadays, they are dwindling in update quantity and just releasing mostly campaign updates. It feels kind of annoying to come into this thread to see people just posting things like weapon stat suggestions/general gameplay discussion/etc not because of a natural shift in conversation from something initially on topic, but rather posted out of the blue without being led into from something previously on topic, all because of some sense of obligation to bump this thread during a period of downtime.
Also I like how you trash ultimates when the entire competitive tf2 meta is built around medics uber, which is basically an ultimate.
Yes. One that is a couple notches less powerful, you only get as one class and that you lose when you die. It's still powerful enough to make a huge difference.
Howgh.

I'm not even sure if he was at TF2 team, only in original. He has worked on Steam development for quite some time and is still owner of the official developer group.
I'm thinking he wasn't let go, he either left or is still working at Valve.
Huh. That's like what, the 3rd most recent employee who's left the company?
Sounds kind of concerning. Valve has been making a lot of weird decisions lately.
I thought Cook worked on TF2?
I thought Cook worked on TF2?
I thought the janitor did too, but they must have fired him for tampering with TF2.
I wonder if they replaced the potted plant with a fake store bought one.
Almost forgot why I stopped regularing this thread.
I agree. This Overwatch thread really had better days. :v:
People need to stop posting if they have nothing actually interesting to contribute. I really don't care about Overwatch "killing" TF2 or whatever.

Please don't reignite geel and poptarts argument.
Does it mean anything if the record gets updated on steamdb?

EDIT: I think it was just them removing it from a package.

Anna Sweet is also still group officer of that group, yet she joined Oculus last year.
does robin walker still work at valve?
He was recently featured in an article, and is still on the employees page. He's been working on the Steam Controller.
so I guess probably no competitive passes till next week, huh? i guess i should have realized as soon as i saw "or so" after the words "in the next week" that it wouldn't be this week. :v:

TF2 has yet to get first open comp beta giveaway to happen and lacks in new comic, but we already have leaks of L4D3 and HL3?
:speechless:

You say this, but people who aren't so invested in TF2 (or Dota or CSGO) are lamenting the lack of new games from Valve. Perspective is a fine thing.
above
Thats why I im invested in both

Listening to tweets from anyone from tftv was the first mistake.
Is it safe to call it a night yet?

It depends where in the world you live. For me, yes, it is currently night.
