well that was kinda fun while it lasted.
I ended up playing with the same people over and over because it's like 11:30 AM where I am.

Got 3 games in. Those were some of the most toxic players I've ever seen :v:
I think it's over now. I managed to get in, but I did horribly because default hud sucks.
I fucking swear to god, there was one guy who actually went friendly. In competitive. How the fuck does this manage to happen?

I can't say I was that impressed. Most of my matches were on servers on the other side of the globe.
i want to go on a long rant about why tf2 shouldn't have competitive mode, and why the it and the scene has always been shit

Man I feel bad now I had all really fun matches (besides one where 2 of our teammates were afk for a bit before it started and the other team readied up so we got completely rolled) but otherwise every match was perfectly fun
I squeezed in 2 rounds with my friends. Got to say, it was actually pretty fun.
Played two rounds. Totally got rolled on Badwater (not to mention my whole team was pissing on each other), but I rolled with a different team on Turbine who was slightly mature. It's hard creating balanced games when the whole queue is either rank 1 or unranked.
That was fun, but getting connected to far away servers, not so much. I've always had trouble with the closest (Virginia) so hopefully it's not that coming through.
I still have the competitive button. Looks like I can still use the beta maybe.
Games where everyone had ~200 ping was not fun.

I was able to start searching no problem.
Tried the Stress Test out. It was a pretty good experience for me, the game seems to run better than pubs, although there was this one round where there was slight lag, but it was forgivable. I liked the whole thing overall, though the rounds I've played lately had little voice comm, which I guess is good if there are no toxic players with Mocs, by bad if they were strategic people.
So far the only steam friends I have that are still able to join the beta all have a Self-Made item of sorts. Anybody not fall under this and is still able to join the beta?

Yeah I'm not sure what Valve was thinking when they decided to include CTF in comp matchmaking. I'm sure the comp players told them that wasn't a good idea at some point.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure contributors/ people with self-mades are still able to get in. I've got a proper beta pass myself, but I've heard of others able to get who fit the bill.
I am not a contributor and I no longer have access to the beta, so far the analysis is correct.
Wonder if there'll be another update for the passes

Yep, I'm able to join and so is every contributor on my friends list that I've asked.

I'd say give it one or two weeks before the passes start to get distributed. I doubt they'll pass any when MM is as buggy as it currently is.

It was nice to see a 1/1 kill ratio for once. Lost both games I played but I at least had a bit of fun.
Now I know though I need a proper stand for my mic though instead of wedging it in my armpit.
