Can you get the Festivizer item from any unboxing or do we assume its only from the mystery gifts that you cant open yet?
The Mystery Gift, unboxing the cases only give the gifts plus a weapon.
is there a command to change the loadout select to be alphabetical again, rather than the most recent weapon first?
Apparently, the Degreaser switch time is currently broken.
I love how they worked Pauling spending time with the mercs during her vacation into those contract lines.
Scout flexin' them guns.

As in, the switch-from bonus not applying correctly, or both?
On a related note, it doesn't feel like the Fists of Steel suffer from a 100% increase in holster speed... That should make it a whole second, which is quite a lot for a Heavy that needs to spin up his gun after that and wait for dmg ramp-up as well, but switching from FoS to a primary or secondary actually feels as fast as the base switch time (now 0.5 sec) and faster than the pre-change FoS that had a +20% global switch time penalty (making it 0.8 seconds).
Thinking that might be bugged too.
god, i love the salty tears of people crying due to the reworked degreaser. people got so used to a broken mechanic that now they're literally claiming tf2 is dead.
degreaser and axtinguisher was literally the only fun thing about the pyro. though that was nerfed a long time ago
degreaser and axtinguisher was literally the only fun thing about the pyro. though that was nerfed a long time ago
You can do the Axtinguisher thing again now, although it is very very (frustratingly) slow. Still, it has that satisfying punch back.
So you're mad that a weapon that's only useful with 100% melee now has uses outside of 100% melee while still being useful for 100% melee in granting greater charge recharge capacity. Remember, the stupid thing still grants 100% faster charge recharge on top of these changes.
The only thing I'm sour about is that it demands a shield to be useful, but at least it has uses for combat-kit players instead of strictly for melee-man players.
I just put persian persuader as an example. It was useful outside of melee; it granted hp when picking up ammo kits.

The model smoothing on pl_snowycoast's payload cart and finale props are broken. :suicide:
So what is inside the Mistery Box ?
So what is inside the Mistery Box ?
It's unopenable.
So what is inside the Mistery Box ?
Naughty and Nice Crates, which contain festive cosmetics and weapons I presume. Maybe they will make something unique this year, who knows. As long as we get more festives I am happy.
So what is inside the Mistery Box ?
My guess is, since you get them by opening crates is that they contain either Nice stuff (hats, and stuff) or the Festive weapons.
The Axtinguisher's just pitiful at this point. With the crits doing 130 damage, a degreaser can actually deal that amount of damage in the time it'd take to light up the foe, switch weapons, and swing the Axtinguisher.
Hell, the fucking Backscratcher makes a better Axtinguisher at this point.
Meanwhile the brain-dead Phlogistinator becomes even more brain-dead.
And converting an airblasted player into guaranteed crit fodder isn't braindead?
It remains a simple matter to counter a Phlog, simply back away at the moment they activate their taunt. The duration of the taunt should provide you with ample time to skirt outside of the Pyro's effective range, allowing you to shoot the newly crit-boosted Pyro with relative impunity.
So what is inside the Mistery Box ?
So far the theory is that the boxes contain a "Festivizer", which allows weapon skins (weapons from the Cases plus the loose weapon collections) to have the festive lights on them from the first generation of Festive weapons (plus the later ones for the Grenade Launcher, SMG, Shotgun and Revolver). So the technically the only "new" Festive weapon this year would be the Pistol, since the others would be just re-release of previous years.
NISLT's put up all the new voice lines:

That sounds terrible.
It's weird that they didn't wished us a Merry Smissmass.

I'm wondering if they are going to fuck with the Phlog after the update the same they did with the Pomson on Gun Mettle.
Atleast im hoping for that.
Please.

We can only hope

then they haven't tested anything.
There's almost no difference from before, and now its got better dmg and -1 afterburn. It's on the verge of actually being called a buff.

I've played it, and diffrence is very noticable. True, the switch-to speed is basicly the same but the holester speed is noticable, especialy if you mained the degreaser before.
Not to mention the airblast cost and as mentioned above, the pitiful -1 afterburn.
The damage buff is what is what is barely noticable tho, 10% diffrence really isn't that much, especialy since this weapon wasn't designed for W+M1ing

Real phlogistinator players won't even let you see their taunt, they do it around corners, etc for ambush purposes
If I start up TF2 when Smismass ends, will I still get the gift stocking and such
It bugs me that the Balloonicorn decorated weps aren't team colored
Basically now phlog has gone from pure ambush to ambush + huge area denial. This is a weird combination because ambush is about keeping hidden until its too late for the enemy to react, while area denial is about preventing the enemy from going somewhere by showing them the danger in advance.
Real phlogistinator players won't even let you see their taunt, they do it around corners, etc for ambush purposes
don't need to anymore. You can just trigger infront of a whole army and probably win if it's a relatively small room.
the phlog isnt broken you fucking whiny pissbabies
learn to run away, pyro is supposed to be good in CQC and new phlog trades any ranged defense potential for more damage
Real phlogistinator players won't even let you see their taunt, they do it around corners, etc for ambush purposes
Exactly. This buff kind of takes away this aspect to an extent. It's still a good idea to treat it as pre-buff mainly because players will still run away from the taunting pyro and gun him down from afar.
