SFM is far better as you can do it without HUD, background noise and the like (I had to record on StopThatTank) so keep going. I'm just trying to get one out fast to show everyone as soon as possible, a good quality one from SFM would be better to spread around in the coming days.

Yeah, swords have clipping issues, so I assume it is bottle. Which is really odd going with the Festive theory seeing as he does have Festive and Aussie Eyelanders. I think that Valve may be releasing Bottle skins in the future that do something similar to what the Citizen Pain did; that being company logos. Probably can expect Red Shed/Blue Streak skins for the bottle in the future.

Back on topic, I think that the addition of these animations could indicate Valve will soon allow inspecting of non decorated weapons, as a number of them (bottles, kukris, shovels and syringe guns) don't have any festive versions (excepting the Festive Crossbow). Could also mean Valve may be adding a system similar to renaming in CSGO, where custom names can show up on the side of the weapon.
The Bat animation isn't new. It was added sometime during the Invasion event for the Batsaber.

Gahhh those knife animations. I really want inspect on default weapons. That way I can do that while I walk around instead of spam quick switch last weapon. :v:

Even on my boring old skins I use it all the time. They're fun animations and it's nice to look over your items.
Favorite experience of this update so far: Trying out the Phlog, hitting alt-fire to do the MMPH-taunt, and noticing in the third-person view that [i]at least two other Pyros near me did the exact same thing at the exact same time.[/i]
i'm seriusly considering a sound cue needs to be added to the phlog's taunt because people still fails to realise that they need to get the shit out of any pyro doing it.
