+ACT_BALL_VM_CATCH +ACT_BALL_VM_IDLE +ACT_BALL_VM_PICKUP +ACT_BALL_VM_THROW
The way these are implemented makes me think about the "Catcher's Mitt" or whatever people wanted a while back. In any case, is it safe to say this is a weapon/jack?
never ever thought in my entire lifetime thatd id witness the words "unusual strange festive professional killstreak" as a prefix on a weapon
All thats missing is "Australium"
why are the corsair skins so fugly with their mario 64-ass lookin' textures :(
You say that like it's a bad thing

Close enough to a Smissmas skin for me. [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/355021463458956920/CB077DED2FA7A91BAB822E44DBD301E5513A58D0/[/T]
I know it will not amount to anything, but I did shoot an email through the blog saying how nifty strangifiers would be for the non-case skins, whether from chemistry sets or some craftable dealio at least they might see it and think about it
The gifts are actually something good and not crates? now I wish I hadn't sold mine immediately :( I love festives.
Do the Gentlemanne collection item have a crate?
Do the Gentlemanne collection item have a crate?
They have a skin for the case model, but they aren't used in the game.
Now begins the era of MVM speculation.
Now begins the era of MVM speculation.
Ah yes. Speculation for possible new mvm maps, new robot abilities (shields, B.A.S.E Jumper), new rewards. Also I saw somewhere that there was a coin/pass that leveled from scoring points in mvm. It acted like the contracts (Which means it is unrelated to the current badges you get from mvm.). Don't know if it is true. (Might be a cancelled project) Just speculation
Ever since Love and War, the game has been going in a very different direction, and the last 6 months pretty much prove that Valve is doubling down on that new direction. They're throwing away 7 years worth of dedication to a specific and defined content creation model in favor of basically what is most profitable right now, and they aren't even doing the new system in a way that is consistent with itself, let alone the the 7 years worth of hats, qualities, specialties, crates, events, or items. And unfortunately, it's really too late to mend the divide between the two models. If Valve really wanted the new direction, especially Gun Mettle, to meld with TF2 as it has been known for so long, a number of systems and sort of rules should have been set in place before hand, such as: * Grades and cases are limited to Decorated Weapons only. Hats, tools, stranges, and the like are to be shipped in Supply and Munitions crates, and large amounts of cosmetics (usually coinciding with a community update) are to be shipped in crates with completely equalized chances for each item (EOTL crate did this and all was good in the world). * Wear levels are to be limited to Factory, Field Tested, and Scarred. TF2 is not CSGO; we have more than just skins, and having 5 different variants of the same thing is unnecessary. The Gunmettle page showed the Citizen Pain in FN, FT, and BS for a reason; MW and WW are nothing but bloat, especially in TF2 where, as said before, skins are not the only form of customization. MW and WW skins clutter the market because they are usually unpopular, and because trade-up doesn't improve wear, isn't profitable, and isn't controllable enough for most people to actually do it. * Drop Collections are to have a very rare chance of dropping a collection crate, the contents of which are guaranteed strange. This ensures that contract completion can result in Cases or weapons, and the weapons available as just contract reward are also available in strange. * Maps are to be shipped independently of new campaigns. Any map that is added must be purchased from the creator, have all assets implemented into the game's files, and be permanently added to the respective rotation. There are also a number of things Valve could do right now that would be to the betterment of the game and its consistency: * Add a new tool allowing the application of Stat Clock attachments to any existing Strange quality weapon. This may be a direct application like most stock primaries, in the form of a watch for most consumables, or something unique to cater to a certain weapon's design. * The ability to destroy any strange, non-decorated item and turn it into a Strangifier should be added, allowing for Strange versions of Collector's, Vintage, and Genuine items. Strangifiers can not be used on decorated weapons. There's far more to be said in hindsight about what Valve should have done differently and how it could have been done better but what matters is this; Valve is taking the game to new and different places. The new direction means more things to cater to more modern players, and more things older players need to adopt or leave because of. We're on this course indefinitely, so it looks like we need to make the best of it.
I can't wait until we get MvM Robofiers so we can add more cosmetics to our gun skins
I was kinda wishing they just did this to existing Stranges in the first place after the stat clock weapons came out. It feels like they should have.
I was kinda wishing they just did this to existing Stranges in the first place after the stat clock weapons came out. It feels like they should have.
Definitely should have, but lets be realistic here; if Valve did that it wouldn't make them any money. The only way we'll ever see non-decorated weapons with Stat-Clocks on the side is if the Stat clock or the entire weapon is something new that Valve sells.
I think you're slightly underestimating the effort required to make a stat-tracker for every weapon. For example, where would you put one on the Conniver's Kunai or the Sandvich?

I think the thing which kills Skins for me is that they are only stock for obvious reasons. My Sticky Launcher might look like the art project of a mentally disabled and molested 12 year old who tries to express their feelings towards it's abuse when it was young, but that wont keep me from using my waifu, the Quickiebomb launcher.
Have to say the contract exclusive weapons (not unboxed) not having a strange quality being just really bothersome. I'd love to use something like the High Roller Medigun, but also have it track ubers like my stock strange. Only having the unboxed sets have stranges is limiting and makes the exclusives less desired for some. I'm sure people who don't care about stranges are totally fine with it, just wanted to give my two cents.
Anyone got 6 contracts? Got 5 so far
I didn't get any yet. Still waiting.
I can't wait until we get MvM Robofiers so we can add more cosmetics to our gun skins
Yeah, i really want my Strange Festivized Specialized Killstreak King of the Jungle to be a Strange Festivized Botkiller Specialized Killstreak King of the Jungle. Make it happen, Valve!
Yeah, i really want my Strange Festivized Specialized Killstreak King of the Jungle to be a Strange Festivized Botkiller Specialized Killstreak King of the Jungle. Make it happen, Valve!
Maybe if Iron Gauntlet goes official the loot will be generic botkiller heads you can attach to any weapon of your choice. Wouldn't surprise me seeing as skins seem to be an attempt at replacing Aussies.
They really ought to re-release the majority (or all) of the strange parts in some non-campaign-related old-school crates... I know that they're supposed to be extra vanity stuff for pimping up versions of weapons that are already all about vanity, but the prices for more desired parts have been ridiculous for a long time now (far higher than 95% of the strange weapons), their supply has almost completely dried up due to no one bothering to uncrate old crates, and now, the cheap strange parts have been removed from the Market/existence entirely, used up as crafting fodder for the Strange Swap tool within days. I was just planning on buying 1 or 2 cheap ones off the Market to craft one or two Swap tools for Strange Decorated weapons I planned on getting later on during the Campaign when their prices fall, and I see I'm already too late - the cheapest parts are already 1,25 euros each, and it's only gonna get higher as more and more cheapest ones are bought off the Market. 5+ bucks for crafting 2 Swap Tools I plan to use later on...
with the new festivizers I'm just waiting for a Strange Professional Elite Festive Unusual Skin
There should have been new festives, instead of beating the dead horse with festivizing shit we can already have in stock/australium. Rescue ranger, PDA, gunslinger, kritzkrieg, all of those are still waiting for aussy/festive, but fuck no, let's make skins festive because everyone wants that! Also fuck fixing currently broken festives, skins are moah importunt Valve, just fuck off.
YES [t]http://i.imgur.com/FJis0gj.png[/t] [sp]should I sell or keep it?[/sp]
I love that skin not just for the shark on the side but the Balloonicorn sticker on the end of it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/nw1ipEc.png[/t]
I like the lights, but a Strangifier would've been cool too the Gentlemanne's Collection is way better than the warbird and pyroland but can't be strange -snip-
the exact same thing happened last time with the teufort collection what i would pay for a strange festive smalltown bringdown rocket launcher (probably about four REAL, BRITISH POUNDS!)
