Payload is only popular in highlander. I've never seen a 6v6 match on payload map.
Payload is only popular in highlander. I can't play TF2 if im not in Steam Beta (It litteraly tells me to opt-in the beta to play) how do i fix the lag? Wait for a patch?
-snip, i think it's time to go to bed :v:-
and CTF isn't even brought up
Out of interest, what happened to that, anyway? I remember quite a few competitive seasons on Turbine, and TF2Maps had that Competitive CTF contest (Landfall was an entry there!) - why did it fall out of favour?

Where's my competitive Hightower?
CTF is kinda a flawed gamemode.
I mean, yes, as far as pubs go, but it tended to work pretty well in 6v6 teams because it ended up kind of playing like a 3cp map where a team controlled the middle and then pushed to the "point". It was also one of the rare places where you saw Engineers and Heavies regularly on 6v6.
Any gamemode that has to give one team crits just to maintain the pace is horribly broken.
CTF is kinda a flawed gamemode.
CTF is flawed because of the 1 minute retrieval timer, not because of anything else.
CTF is flawed because of the 1 minute retrieval timer, not because of anything else.
I dont think I have ever played a ctf map that wasnt a total stalemate fest.
When's the soonest we can expect matchmaking?
When's the soonest we can expect matchmaking?
its early 2016 and still no matchmaking b4nny is a liar time to move to overwatch boys edit: in seriousness, I think we could see a public beta very soon with a full release maybe late in the year
I dont think I have ever played a ctf map that wasnt a total stalemate fest.
judging the gamemode around poor players
its early 2016 and still no matchmaking b4nny is a liar time to move to overwatch boys edit: in seriousness, I think we could see a public beta very soon with a full release maybe late in the year
From what I have experienced overwatchs matchmaking is pretty spot on, I think out of like 50 games about 5 felt really one sided and the only issue was that there weren't enough players when you were really high up. Which will probably solve itself when the games not in beta anymore
Im guessing comic in March with a Strange Crate, Matchmaking in May, and Campaign in July
with a strange case
ftfy
ftfy
Those won't come til July. Most likely, it'll have the Buffalo Steak, Back Scatter and Tide Turner strangifer's, and a bunch of released strange part with a like two new robo ones. Like "robo medics killed" to gain more interest in MVM and Strange Parts. I like how we've reached such a low form of optimism here that thinking a strange crate of mostly rereleases is never going to happen
For those interested - in the span of 2 weeks, the Workshop Wonderland raised $2,435 for SpecialEffect, so good job, guys! We'll have news on the next workshop showcase soon, and we'll be teaming up with more charities then too!

I like how we've reached such a low form of optimism here that thinking a strange crate of mostly rereleases is never going to happen
Because they aren't happening. The TF team thinks that if shoving weapon skin cases down everyone's throats succeeded in CSGO then it also will here... Except CSGO is based on those skins, and TF2 is a [DEL]war-themed hat simulator[/DEL] not. We could use new australiums or new festives (yes, they technically are skins, but skins we are used to and skins we love) nicer hats, but not frickin' skins, come on.
stock weapons are the most used ones and usually the best option. having more customization for them is a good thing I wouldn't mind festive kritzkrieg, though.
Where's my competitive Hightower?
I played a lobby on hightower once It was hilarious because nobody knew whether they should actually try or just fly around as trolldiers and mini sentries. The lobby ended up automatically shutting down because so many people joined as substitutes then left.
New Crates aren't ever happening again. Valve used to release new crates every ~3 months up until last March with munitions 92. There has not been anything since that isn't a rarity based case. It's fairly clear Valve has no intention of doing things like they did in the past (Actual festives, mixed crates with stranges, parts and hats, releasing or re-releasing parts in general) because they want TF to be (at least cosmetically speaking) a carbon copy of CSGO, where Strange/Stat-Trak qualities are limited to skins, parts aren't a thing (crafting stat-swap proves they want all Strange Parts to be aggregiously expensive) and skins are the base form of cosmetic customization (proven by the existence of skins without cases and Festivizers existence). The only problem with using the CSGO model is that, unlike CS, not every weapon in TF2 can or will have skins, meaning Stat-Clocks are arbitrarily limited to a select few stock weapons and because skins are the only forms of weapons being released anymore, chances for any Strange variants of any weapons not available in Strange (mostly anything post LaW) are very low. When it was said that the TF team were sharing the office with the CSGO team, maybe they really just had merged and become the same thing.
The steam sale is over...I guess the ARG too.
The steam sale is over...I guess the ARG too.
It was already over once you got the Red Herring badge.
It was already over once you got the Red Herring badge.
I mean, it's not like any of the other clues actually pointed as to where to go next. So it seems obvious the ARG ends there.
2.1 mb update?
// work in progress..temp names +"TF_Competitive_Rank_0" "Recruit" Sizes of some competitive HUD panels were also changed
// work in progress..temp names +"TF_Competitive_Rank_0" "Recruit"
Was it Rank_1 before?
