matchmaking IS supposed to be in at least beta by early 2016, I guess they are trying to disprove the age-old Valve Time
Just a heads up, the creator of snowycoast tested a new version of his map.
It moved some health packs, added cover to blues first spawn, the reds first spawn now teleports you to the last instead of killing you and moved one of the reds last doors to prevent spawncamping.
here is more detail:

Fixed spot on last ramp that would keep the cart from rolling back
Fixed some smoothing/geometry problems on crates at last
Reduced size of kill zone on falling crates during finale

Probably a blog post with an update that basically makes beta passes more available to somebody.
Why not 7v7/8v8?
Not a logistical nightmare. Works fairly well both in symmetrical and assymetrical gamemodes, allowing teams to expand the list of their core classes (i.e., Engie/Pyro are a must for Payload, but you don't have to hamper your flank by making one of your Soldiers a Texan). Leaves room for experimentation. Leans closer to the format TF2 originally has been tested in. Due to additional slots of 1-2 people, promotes frequent class switching. Spices up the meta. Seriously, what's the dark history behind these numbers, that they didn't catch up in the early days of comp scene?

We have 6v6, 2v2 and 9v9. Those modes are unique enaugh so we dont need 7v7 or 8v8.
Only reason i can think of for someone to bring up 7v7 or 8v8 is because they hate 1 or 2 classes ( pyro for example).

Rank 1 and 0 are both called recruit. Rank 0 is before you play mm, and Rank 1 is the first rank.
There used to be comp 8v8 if I remember correctly, but quickly evolved into 6v6. Think there were issues with medics and demos and redundant classes.

Engineer may as well be. What with everything that isn't stock is pretty much banned in his case.
there's nobody to blame but valve for engi's lack of unlocks
RR, wrangler and gunslinger are the only stuff that matter and these last two are an outrageous mess
I wish the Engi had more secondaries. He has little to none.

well the engie has the biggest footprint in the game, so he's the hardest to balance, so i can sympathize.
And i disagree about the wrangler, i think it's about right these days, i rarely see anyone really using it right

It's no longer useful for shooting out-of-range targets, so it's got the really niche use of targeting specific enemies in range.
imo it would've been better if they kept the out-of-range shooting and nerfed the shield, but I guess this is ok too
Personally I wouldn't mind seeing the wrangler split into two weapons. One with the shield that allows it to tank more damage with bullet spread, and one without the shield that lets you reliably take out targets from afar.

I forgot to put in the word "animations" and no the revolver's name wasn't leaked despite that one leak before the tough break update showing names for upcoming weapons.
I was pretty sure that Spy v. Engi was cancelled, but after Tough Break hit I was pretty sure I saw someone put a few strings of code about "war being back". Is it?

man, i was miffed that i missed the first WAR! update, but it looks like another could be coming soon, I'm pretty fucking hyped.
If another WAR is really happening,I would love to see Valve announcing another propaganda contest and yet another rivalization where whoever team's kill counter is higher, they win a specific weapon that is not a reskin(could be revolver,will work perfectly fine for Spy vs Engie rivalization).

I wonder if they will ever buff Engie's stock Pistol, it's very weak compared to the Wrangler/ShortC and only has a real use when used with the Widowmaker or Panic attack.
And dont tell me "But then it would buff the Scout's pistol, too!" - They are already different, Scout has 36 Secondary ammo, while the engie has 200.

in the context of tf2 i actually do hate children, they never let go of the V button, beg for free shit constantly, and usually dont contribute anything to the team they are one, children suck they can fuck off for all i care,
