If that sounds like a thing you need, get in here! The TF Team
[editline]27th January 2016[/editline] Also, here's a new icon:

That one admin with level 0 Steam is scary.
Seeing another member of the TF2 team post on Reddit is great, after all the great updates we got last year and the TF2 team actually communicating with the community more then ever before I'm far more optimistic about the future of TF2 then I have been in a long time.
That one admin with level 0 Steam is scary.
That's just because their profile is private. Private profiles show up as level 0.
Valve made an official Steam group for the TF2 competitive beta. All the admins are Valve employees. It's legit.
You only get 1000 XP for being a Valve employee? lol what's the point then
this happened because they asked for it on reddit. they did it 2 days after that reddit post. dota team also regularly fixes bugs posted on reddit. imagine if tf team was communicating as much as them. sad :(

And it has a far larger dev team. I just wish TF2 wasn't as much of a cashgrab as it is now. :(
Discussion section is a joke. That one thread that could've been ended just by posting one post with simple answers still goes on. There are +2 pages of people saying "6s".

Steam community forums are probably the worst tf2 forum out there. Every day in discussion section you will encounter a thread consisting of keywords: "pyro op" "soldier op" "add girls" ">overused meme<" "hi" and the list goes on. This forum is just doomed. There is no point of taking it as a serious provider of information...scratch that, provider of anything that is good.
I hope when matchmaking is finally released, they use the classic line "After 9 years in development, hopefully it would have been worth the wait." [sp]holy shit has it been this long since tf2 released[/sp]

Is anyone else's steam absolutely shitting itself right now
Not on my part.
A bit off-topic but after reading about the group Admins, people referred to Jill as both a dude and a grill, which made me extremely confused, so I looked up the valve dev list - since that will surely tell me the gender of them. - Apparently Im late with this god damnit and also no the valve dev list did not tell me their gender so itll just be pyro all over again-
Jill's steam profile says he is male
this got me as confused as trying to use pronouns on tumblr
-I rescind my previous statement-
jill is a cool dood
Jill's steam profile says he is male
It also says he is hot though

[editline]28th January 2016[/editline] Also he was involved with the quake mod which he practically made himself, so technically it's possible he's been involved with Team Fortress for more than 20 years. Of course we don't know when exactly he dropped out.

As such, a lot of the founding members were longtime TF2 people.
Meh, nevermind, was kinda dumb and offtopic.
I wonder what the requirements will be to be chosen for the beta are, hours played? Steam level? Backpack? And the fact that they made this group now must mean the beta is happening soon right?
