They removed any of maniac's items being obtained from crates, not sure why. All of his items are no longer in their respective crates.

We'll find out in the future, but for now you should probably be on the safe side and get one now if you want it.

They've been removed from crate rotations, and the store. They've even made new [b]keys[/b] for the affected crates, so he wouldn't get revenue splits from sales of those. In short, all monetary ties are gone. One assumes we can still craft them, as that's not a monetary thing, and once an item gets in-game, from what I'm to understand, it's Valve's property to use, according to the Steam Subscriber Agreement:

I think Valve needs to update the AWPer Hand when it's in low/medium model quality because when it is in those qualities it's messed up.

Bandana and all items made by Maniac that were previously craftable are still craftable, as they still have the cosmetic prefab on the schema and are thus craftable until rendered otherwise through an attribute of sorts (which hasn't happened as of this post).

This is just a guess relating to maniac items being removed but maybe he got a new job and had to sign a contract that prevents usage of any of his previously made stuff in any other commercial works and such.

According to a recent post on his Steam profile Maniac doesn't know why his items were removed from TF2.

Too early to jump to conclusions, of course, but if what he himself says is true (and we have no reason to believe he has motivation to hide stuff), then what sort of brazen lack of communication from Valve is that?

Speaking of the 3rd point, he made it so its a bit easier for RED to defend. You can also see an extra spawn for RED. It becomes active when BLU caps the second point.

If there was a payment issue, he would have been told. Unless his email is out of date.

It might be a tax thing, considering when this happened. Valve just sent out contributor tax stuff late last week.

If it's just a tax thing, Valve probably has to stop selling the items. But if that's the case, once he updates his information, they'll probably put all of them back.
