Can't go wrong with nice conservative beards and that cap
I need good ideas for an all-class hat that's paintable, has personality, and looks good on Heavy.

-shnippity shnap- Wrong thread. Sorry.
A wig, but a good looking one. Not like this monstrocity.
??? That doesn't help me at all
[t]https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/8/8f/That_%2770s_Chapeau.png?t=20121124205141[/t]
I've been considering it, trying to figure out loadouts that wouldn't look stupid because of the glasses.
Artsy Heavy Grandpa Heavy YMCA Heavy
With a lot of help from the suggestions I got from you guys, this is what I've got for the Aperture Labs Hard Hat A few things to note I used orange paint due to personal preference, I realize there are some paints that look better. I didn't include the Engi because there's just to much you can do with him for this hat. Only thing I could think of for the spy was to try and make him Cave Johnson
Soldier could be one of those hobos he hired to do tests on for $60.

I personally can't stand the Magistrate's Mullet It's not the item per se, it's how they designed it When I used to install mods, I always replaced it with this [t]http://files.gamebanana.com/img/ss/srends/86964a.jpg[/t]
Yeah, the stock one is pretty hideously huge and blocky.
looks a lot better than that shittt
Yeah, the stock one is pretty hideously huge and blocky.
It's a pretty typical example of an 1800s wig. Please note, the above isn't some costume shop nonsense - it's a historical recreation from Colonial Williamsburg, and is wholly accurate to the real thing.
Well I guess that just shows what I know. I honestly thought they were way smaller. Of course I still do think the whole concept is silly from the beginning, but that's a historical debate, not TF2.
Making Pyro use a backburner, a detonator and an bat outta hell while wearing the gas guzzler, lunatic's leathers and a burning last breath would make him the perfect Ghost Rider!
Making Pyro use a backburner, a detonator and an bat outta hell while wearing the gas guzzler, lunatic's leathers and a burning last breath would make him the perfect Ghost Rider!
Needs an unusual with burning Flames to complete the appearance.
i want to upload all my loadouts but i'm afraid people will get mad at me for having a pink hat :v:
i want to upload all my loadouts but i'm afraid people will get mad at me for having a pink hat :v:
If you used the paint in a way that looks like shit, or as an effort to look stupid or something then people will get mad at you. Although if you used it in a way that you feel looks good or suits the loadout, then you should have nothing to worry about. If it's the latter then I think you should post it, I honestly want to see how this paint can look good.
i'll just upload this picture and hopefully nobody will get mad then. [t]http://i.imgur.com/xCBypnG.jpg[/t]
Very least I can say there isn't that much a theme to the loadout, it seems thrown together with whatever you had on you. The paints don't exactly complement the loadout. Take this loadout for example: The Heavy here sort of resembles a hunter or something, there's a consistent colour scheme with the gray paint, the vest and the beard. In the end it looks very good. If you can aim to produce loadouts following something along these lines, you can probably produce something a lot more original and aesthetically pleasing.
Very least I can say there isn't that much a theme to the loadout, it seems thrown together with whatever you had on you. The paints don't exactly complement the loadout.
i honestly don't want a theme on my main loadouts.
i honestly don't want a type of theme.
The theme doesn't have to make sense to look good. Just something help you better coordinate the type of items you use. The loadout you posted shows a pink haired Scout wearing a marching band uniform and a intense yellow bandana, in the end it looks pretty thrown together. If you can make the items look like they belong together and most importantly belong on the character, the loadout will look a lot more better.
(thank you for using a previous idea of mine as an example, TheRealFierce!) Sometimes you wont need a theme for your loadout to look aesthetically pleasing. Take these two ideas for example They stick to your original idea of wanting to wear both the bouffant and bandanna while synergizing with the other items and keeping a consistent colourscheme. What you have right now is clearly disliked by many and has no rhyme or reason. I wouldn't put it past the items having those paints just to up their value, which is just kind of sad. Either take constructive criticism, or live your life lookin' like this broad.
