The pilot mask is also not actually connected to anything compared to the mair mask's canister and is an obvious reference to pilots, especially considering the other part of the set it's in is an air raider helmet. The mair mask, being a basic gas mask, works with the theme. It also looks slightly uncanny valley and works well with the idea of a space mask because of said air canister.

then why not foster's facade? it's much more 'uncanny valley'. or even the hazmat headcase could look nice. I just dont see the mair mask as the best choice.

Do you even know what uncanny valley is? Or are you just using the term because I'm using it? Because in terms of uncanny valley the mair mask compared to an all-white gas-mask with 2 black eyes looking like if kirby was a gasmask isn't even a competition.

I used uncanny valley correctly. Mair mask, especially when painted salmon, is pretty uncanny valley. Your interpretation compared to mine may be different, but my point still stands: there is nothing uncanny valley about the Facade.

why are you using it as an adjective, if anything things would be [b]in[/b] the uncanny valley
besides its not nearly human enough to cause the actual uncanny valley phenomena, it is sort of creepy looking sure, but thats all

I know what uncanny valley means, but i was using the term in the same way it seemed you used it even though it was technically incorrect on both parts. I thought I understood what you meant by it and used it in that manner even though i knew it was still incorrect.

I'd actually recommend the Fancy Dress Uniform.

The Classified Coif works well for the neck, but the flared collar and the double breasted coat don't quite fit the tidy military look you're shooting for.
The FDU has essentialy the same neck without the collar or double breasting, but with the added benefits of 1) not needing to be painted and 2) having the very military-esque epaulettes, which is about as close as you can get to how Cockswain actually looks.
