I am actually glad of the buff for the Super shotty, since it is surprisingly hard to get a meat shot on people, and the pitiful damage at medium range is enough of a backlash to the weapon.

I know it was a bit overpowered but maybe if it was rebalanced to be less overpowered and be more of a defensive weapon for the medic.

Medic has to heal, not fight. Medic weapons are only for medic defense or help the medic to escape

The shotgun was removed because giving the Medic a hitscan weapon leads to some really shitty gameplay.

Medic's job is to heal people, not to kill. Syringe Gun is best used when you are running away. Having a Shotgun will pretty much break the class itself. As you would have a class that is almost equal to the Military FPS.
Can we just have all the beta weapons back? The reason i even downloaded this mod was because of the scout smg, and i remember devs promising that they would add new beta/concept art based stuff, but you add in the medic shotgun and you just give up, you don't try to balance it instead you take the easy way out and just remove it, same with the scout smg and beta rl, instead of just down right removing it, actually try and balance it.

Even though I kind of agree with you, they shouldn't leave the game unbalanced with weapons like the Scout SMG and Medic Shotgun. They experimented with the idea and look at it. They both got removed. Balancing is more important than Beta Content, but I do agree. I remember the original thread said the mod would focus on beta content more.
The problem with the medic shotgun is it did to much damage right? Just make it so it shot less pellets, and the scout smg was that it in couraged a spray and pray style, why not make it so when you put your finger on the mouse there's a .05 second delay, and it burst fires 4 pellets for .05 seconds then it delays for another .05 seconds, and the beta RPG should have a longer reload and let you jump further, try these don't out right remove it.
Edit: What I don't understand is why this update is taking so long, you have a huge team!

The medic isn't supposed to be an offensive class, with shotguns and shit, he's not meant to fight. He heals, and if his target dies, he has a syringe gun and a melee weapon to defend himself.
The thing about the syringe gun is that it's a weapon which is most effective when running away, leading your pursuers into the shots; this is exactly what a Medic should be doing.
A shotgun is a weapon that's most effective when you're running at the enemy, which you should [I]not[/I] be doing. Any more accurate hitscan weapons will also have the issue of encouraging Medics to take potshots at distant enemies rather than heal.

There are some people that perfer a more combative play style for medic, and the medic shotty was in for like 2 updates and had no changes to balancing to attempt to fix it instead the devs were lazy and threw it in the "Beta Trash" and that's what's happening to near all the interesting concepts that drew me to this mod, and the fact that devs give up to easily is kind of ruining the project for me.

Well people shouldn't be playing medic as combative in the first place, he was never meant to murder people at will, he was always meant to heal and protect his team mates. Giving him a shotgun ruins a play style for a support class, you shouldn't see medics running into the battlefield by themselves and shooting every one at will with no heal targets with him.
Plus the weapons are just a few things, the team wants to make the game great, and making it great takes time. That involves removing and scrapping stuff; an idea doesn't make a weapon good, it needs gameplay to prove facts, and facts are that it was tried and showed that the medic doesn't need a shotgun.

The burst fire idea would make it even more viable and less spray and pray, and the devs said there moving the RPG to dm only, which is dumb, just lengthen the reload and the decrease the damage buff the knock back and allow for further rocket jumps and it's probably viable, and why is the next update taking so long, unless you have more content then the uber update this update has been more over hyped then duke nukem forever, according to the website you have a giant team, so me and a lot of people expected content a while ago.

The smg for the scout isn't that good, since the smg is actually worse than the pistol damage-wise (if I recall correctly), plus his pistol already can be held down to shoot almost as fast. We still have the nailgun and that's the closest thing to the smg for the scout atm, and that gives the player the chance to change to a weapon that replaces the scattergun
If you're going to give Medic a shotgun then make it projectile based, like a rescue ranger that shoots multiple bolts at a time but with a larger delay between firing. This at least keeps the unreliability factor that Medic secondaries should have to keep the class from being too strong at direct combat.

How much longer till the Nailgun goes the way of the dodo? The nailgun and scout smg are the reasons I got the mod, but yet the devs are removing stuff instead of trying to balance, you have a gameplay designer right?
Edit: Let's not forget the bug that locks up the game, forcing me to play in no border, because if it happens i can't even tab out.
Keep in mind these beta weapons ended up not being used in live TF2 for probably good reasons
Maybe a projectile based 4 shot gun with pellet spread
Make a weapon for medic that's really bad and is hitscan
