I mean I think at one point we considered a syringe-based shotgun replacement for the Medic but at this point it just isn't really a necessary thing to implement since we should be focusing on more important things than introducing new weapons just for the sake of having beta weapons, or whatever.

We have a pretty large team, yeah, but at most times due to previous obligations such as work and school only roughly 5-10 people are available to do work at any one time. Shit's tough man.
Our next update will be out when it's ready. We don't want to release something that's not up to scratch.

If the smg was declared overpowered as a scout secondary, why not instead of removing it, you give it to him as a primary?

We had CSM for a while in development and experimented with other shading, but it ended up breaking the graphics style, breaking the workflow and being hard to maintain. There's still a few nice things we are considering, though that will be long term.

Black Mesa is getting CSM but I have no idea what it means.

CSM stands for Cascaded Shadow Mapping and is, very simplified, a way to make pretty shadows.
Slightly more technically, it's a form of shadow mapping where you sample from different resolution shadow maps depending on the pixel's location.
So you had it working?

Having it as a primary does make sense, but I bet their reasoning behind it is that the Nailgun would basically be an smg.

The main reason why to not have it on the store is because the official version is still going strong. The only way I can see it permitted is if TF2 stops being popular, like TFC dying down and letting Fortress Forever come up.

So I thought a detonator would be sort of cool so I started up G-Mod and made this mock up image:

Something super minor because it happens so rarely but it always bothered me about TF2; that telefrags only cause a ragdoll death of the player. One player of a team is teleporting into the same physical place as the enemy, killing them. Shouldn't this cause their body to gib?

In first-person, I believe the demoman is already holding it with one hand, as when you loot at the first person model of it, you can see his hand just sitting there in the bottom right. I think the third person model should be the one updated, but it has never bothered me in the first place.
Am I the only one who feels deathmatch is mostly just a bunch of players scrambling to get a rocket launcher and get a bunch of kills before dying to a random crit crowbar and repeating the process?
I wonder how deathmatch would turn out if the rocket launcher was disabled during the round

Telefrags actually do gib players in TF2C. It's been like that since Beta 3, I think.
Idk what I expected when I saw 45 new posts other than new users making dumb suggestions.
Just so you know (You probably do), there is no longer a "beta_test" branch for the source 2013 base, it was put into the main branch. So servers will need to be changed again.
