Espionage will be a standelone game in source 2
I kind of hope that it will be part of the same game.
Espionage will be a standelone game in source 2
what?
What happened to this map?
I am the one who made the map, and those are really old screenshots of it. I haven't worked on it in months, and since we aren't working on Espionage atm, we have no real reason to use it.
Question (And sorry if it sounds dumb): Are you going to update the hitboxes/hitreg so it's better than live TF2s?
pls update engineer's hitbox on the next update tf2c: live tf2:
The hitbox error was fixed some days ago on live TF2.
I'm probably going to get some hate for this, but I'm just going to say it anyways; Do you think you could possibly add hats and cosmetics? Hear me out on this, I'm not saying to add them as drops or let them be paintable or have unusuals or any of that 'economy' bullshit from regular TF2, nor am I saying to add all the hats/cosmetics from TF2 because let's be honest; almost all of them are ugly and don't make sense. What I'm saying, is possibly make it so that there's an option in your loadout where you can select from a (very) small list of cosmetics to equip, that's it, just something to help distinguish multiple players playing as the same class. (And it'd be stuff that 'actually' matches the class; baseball stuff for Scout, military gear for Soldier, etc.)

Spy got effectively nerfed when hats were added. But if everyone looks the same, spy is way more effective. Although I think everyone should have seasonal hats like BMoC on Christmas. :what:
How did Spy get nerfed?
Disguising as a soldier when all soldiers just look like soldier is way more effective than disguising as one with a loadout no other soldier has.
Disguising as a soldier when all soldiers just look like soldier is way more effective than disguising as one with a loadout no other soldier has.
Except unless both the Soldier and disguised Spy are standing next to each other, the hat shouldn't matter. If you're worried about being able to spot when a Spy is disguised as you, a hat doesn't matter either since if you're looking at said Spy, it'll say your name anyways. Either way it's a moot point, as most of the time a Spy should be sneaking around where they won't be noticed anyways. (And also, I would imagine it'd be like early TF2 where each class only had like, 2 or 3 hats, not 50 million, so two classes wearing the same hat wouldn't be huge deal, especially since it's unlikely a Spy would be next to the player he's disguised as.)

(To be honest I'm not a big fan of some of the original 9 hats though; Pyro's beanie started the trend of Pyro being weird/silly, Demoman's fro doesn't fit the setting since afros weren't a mainstream thing till the 70s, Heavy's football helmet just doesn't fit the character, and the model for Medic's Pickelhaube is kinda ugly)
Hey guys, I have been out for about a month, how has the game progressed?
Hey guys, I have been out for about a month, how has the game progressed?
Progress is a strong word.... More like... Stifled....
Hey guys, I have been out for about a month, how has the game progressed?
Espionage is a seperate mode is the largest news. The discord is the best way to get news. I know some maps are getting updated, VIP is nearly functional if not entirely so, and DM is getting polish. The official servers are down, so Alphablaster's server is all there is for a while. Which is fine since you can mute people.
Sorry for reposting this, but I am still unable to find a solution.
One quick question, what are the files that the game is using for translations? Because I was editing the "tf2classic_portuguese" file, but nothing actually change in-game.

Sorry for reposting this, but I am still unable to find a solution.
TF2C uses the same localization as any other Source mod.
Sorry for reposting this, but I am still unable to find a solution.
Check for typos in the file name? Also check if you have it enabled ingame (if that isn't obvious)
Also check if you have it enabled ingame (if that isn't obvious)
The game automatically sets the language to portuguese for me, there is no option for changing it.
The game automatically sets the language to portuguese for me, there is no option for changing it.
no i changed the language settings from my steam client to portuguese and nothing was changed in game so the only way would be modding the tf2classic_english.txt file
What's up everybody! Long time no see! I've kind of dropped out of the scene for awhile and wanted to check up on this project (no longer installed). Are there any servers online for the game currently? I saw somewhere that linux binaries for servers are working now, is that true?
Linux binaries for servers have never not worked.
Sounds like maybe there should be a guide since nearly every post for two weeks has been "how do linux server!1?".
This is probably a dumb question, but are more weapons from current TF2 going to be added in over time? I mean, obviously with more balanced stats (and different non theme-breaking models for promotional weapons)

It would probably have to be nerfed somehow to make the shotgun more relevant. But anyways, the sadvich adds a subtle amount of character to the game that makes it feel more like tf2 than like a serious shooter.

Also, critheals when?
I'm just gonna come out and say this. Right now development on the next patch has slowed because our SVN service provider is currently undergoing network upgrades which we (nor VaultF4, our sponsor) were told about. What this means is basically we can't share any of our content internally and stuff has slowed to a crawl. The update may be delayed by a week or two to compensate but I can safely say that we are still working towards a goal of releasing before the end of the year. Sooner rather than later. If you have any additional questions please voice them here.
