maybe your server thinks that banana land is a huge mistake
we should collect all the scrapped weapons (and weapon ideas that aint in the game yet) and put them on a custom weapons server

My server has the Scout's SMG and sten, Heavy's lead pipe, Medic's shotgun and overhealer, a sten for Sniper, frag grenades for Merc and all-class crowbars. Lotsa' removed and scrapped weapons to play around with. It's about as crazy and overpowered as you'd imagine, but it's fun and people love the chaos.

I hate how people always say they [I]want[/I] to play but don't actually [I]participate[/I], with their reasoning being "the game is dead" not realizing the Catch-22 they're making. To play the game you kind of need to, you know, [I]play the game[/i]. Almost every day my server gets at least 8 people during the afternoon, sometimes up to 20 players or more on a good weekend. There'd be a lot more players online if they didn't lazily claim the mod's playerbase is dead for whatever reason.

honestly you're right.
people keep complaining that the mod is "dead" because we haven't updated it yet, but it's only "dead" because people are refusing to play, again, because they claim it's "dead". it's a vicious cycle.

I've got a steam group for this mod with 268 people, not to mention the 3,427 in the official TF2C group. If half the people in my group alone all played at once you'd pretty much fill all the servers with that, but they're all stuck on the belief that the game is dead without trying to pick it up again. It's crazy.

You can say that. But I think the reason people aren't playing is because there is nothing new to experience. Beta 3 had the last actual new stuff, and that release was well over half a year ago. I can't say I'm too interested in playing a game that isn't receiving anything in the foreseeable future, and I doubt many others are either.

How in the world do you use the weapons? In the (short) time I have played on your server, I could never find out how to equip scrapped weapons.

Oh yeah, definitely. You'll want to do that. The one my server uses and I linked here doesn't modify or remove any default weapons, though, so if you use the one I have you won't need to worry about messing up the normal weapons. Backups are still very useful though.
In other news Msalinas wanted to try to port the !robot mod to TF2C for use with my server, but to do that it'll need the bots to support the new teams, we'll also be using Rad's robo-merc model.

The only reason I come here anymore is to watch everything cool and interesting about this mod get scrapped rather than reworked into something balanced.

Here's classes 1-9's MvM models, now with support for GRN and YLW teams. Rad's robo-Merc is included, with permission. (I didn't give him any team color skins yet, I'll do it later.)
Use these for whatever you want. Here's hoping Msalinas2877 can get BetheRobot to work or else I just wasted like two hours doing this.

Also Msalinas2877 got Civilian to talk. Starting with battle cries and the rest of the voice command lines will be added later. Merc will have lines too but that'll be more difficult since the only lines we have from Stachekip aren't all gameplay related so it'll probably just be battle cries and medic shouts.
This'll soon be on my server to test out, too.
Civilian's first-person perspective is waaaaay too tall for such a short dude. Is there a way for you guys to lower that?

Every other class has something like that implemented (scouts are shorter than heavies and their perspective reflects that, for example)
