So....is it safe to play now? I've been a little out of the loop.
I do not believe it is safe, and they had us switch SDK to the beta_test on the betas selection. When I got on, no one was playing.

If server owners want to open servers on the beta_test branch I'd say feel free but it is not recommended. However, wait for more info, we're going to release a patch that fixes additional issues.

it'd be interesting to see some of the pre-nerf weapons from live tf2 implemented, like the cow mangler or soda popper, implemented into certain gamemodes

Is anyone thinking of making a conversion of Turbine or Turbine Pro to TF2C? Y'know because I really like that map, it's like 2Fort except better and inside and some other blah balh I could say.
If there's gonna be a Turbine port, we should use that outdoors version of Turbine someone here made a while ago, it's a thousand times better.

I wonder how a scientist and industry gamemode would work in tf2.
His face looks too smooth in my opinion. His wrinkles need to be more pronounced.
So, is the Civilian gonna have a Danny DeVito voice?

The science and technology mode sounds very interesting. So the Merc would be the Security officer, and the scientists would be those that are sought after, and the civilian is the boss? We have the players, what about the weapons? Oh that reminds me someone made dual wielded pistols for teh Scout. You can use it for the class or as a DeathMatch mode weapon. @super emo bros a possible meley could be a bioshock sstyled pipe wrench or the prison shank (from the concept art) or just a crowbar :P

dat face, only a mother could love honestly, I think that alternative would be used for comedic purposes, but thats just me. [B]EDIT:[/B] if they are taking game mode ideas, I thought how well Virus would work. Look it up on Gmod tower or Timesplitters. It would kinda involve teamwork on surviving/ infecting people. Also, to make it harder(?), weapons scattered around the map for the mercenary to pick up while having an increased weapon capacity up to, say, six, but no crowbar/melee weapon. Would love to see infects wield weapons like on Timesplitters.
