SFM for playermodel anims and Blender / 3DS Max for viewmodel animation iirc
About the Nailgun. I know that it is a TFC and unused TF2 weapon, but according to Mythbusters, NailGuns are not the most useful weapon. With that in mind, I propose that a new nailgun is made looking a bit like the combination of the Fallout 3 Railway Rifle and TFC Nailgun, Consider making it with a a magazine. Could it be done?
Also any Shotguns for the Scout the magazine one that was promoted as a Shortstop reskin. Lets say that there are Shotguns for the Scout wiht magazines, hell even regular ones. Given the fact that Scout is really fraking fast, make shotguns models have frontal vertical grips so the Scout can use them well.

Doesn't especially matter if the nail gun wouldn't really work as a weapon, TF2 isn't particularly realistic.

is this really what concerns you in a game with rocket jumping
Suggestion time: I think Jump Pad and Speed Pad buildings would be pretty nifty Teleporter replacements.

Going by this logic, why should the Scout double jump.
Why do teleporters exist.
Urine shouldn't cause people to get hurt easily.
What you just proposed is what causes so many recent shooters to be boring as fuck.
Taking liberties with how the universe works is what makes games fun.
Imagine if TF2 had to adhere to real world principals.
It would essentially just be like Battlefield or Black Ops, albeit with smaller maps and different objectives.

This game actually looked really fun.
I don't know if it would make a good Team Fortress game, again, being too realistic, but I'd love to have played it anyways.
Maybe under a new name/IP.
At the time, there wouldn't have been anything like it, come to think of it.
It's the little things. And besides I think that having pump action or semiauto shotguns for teh Scout look different than for the other 4 classes would be a nice touch.
I am not asking to delete the features that made TF2 the super fun gamaplay that is really fraking cathartic, what I would like is some little details in the games. And as for some gameplay mechanics, Scout doublejumps are a simplified version of parkour. Or it could be magic. eleporters exist because of the finding of Australium.
Jump and Speed pads could be a environment thing. But yes good suggestion.
For the NailGun, I am jsut asking to make it a bit more menacing a bit more beefy. That sort of thing. Speaking of Shotguns, the Scattergun would have had a option to do a double shot(Altfire or slot pressing ala Heroes and Generals gunfire modes). Would the Devs of the mod consider putting that in the game? And how does the Scattergun work anyway? It has a single trigger and 2 barrels. And does it have a loading port under the magazine?
Would Grenades work for this mod, hell for TF2?

You could always play Fortress Forever.
I don't think Fortress Forever is any more realistic. Probably less so, since bunny hopping is a major part of the game.

what?
Fortress Forever is NOTHING like BIA, its not realistic in the slightest. What have you been smoking?

You seriously need to just let go of your realistic approach to this game. It does not fit the art style. This is coming from someone who has studied and fired countless firearms, have done movements over and over around my house using fake and real weapons, watching military videos, learning about fire mechanisms, and the likes so I could help myself achieve the most realistic animations for Counter Strike skins, and for future developments if I pursued it.
Art style. It's cartoony. Everything doesn't have to make sense, and if anything, that's what helps elevate TF2 above other shooters.

Saying the scattergun should shoot 2 barrels at once is like saying the bat should be the same as the other melee weapons, it wouldn't work. Scout is like an annoying fly who just runs around you, jumps and hits you, over and over. Same with the Nailgun being more "beefy", it wouldn't fit either, because the current Mailgun is good enough. It shoots tiny nails that are super annoying fighting against, like a cactus that is hugging you and won't let go. Giving scout a "beefy and stronk" Nailgun, or a double shot shotgun would make him Gordon Freeman.

The TF2 team tried to make the medigun be realistic by giving it a reason on how it works. It took them too long to find a cool little detail for the medigun, and instead they said "fuck it, let's just make Meet the Medic, its not like anyone would be too sad". Nowadays we still don't know how the medigun functions, how the scout double jumps, or how teleporters make bread with tumours, and if we did it would be a cool little detail in the game; but frankly, not everyone has a Magnifying glass when they go to see Mona lisa.
Your other suggestions are good but just remember what game your trying to change. It took Valve seven years to create a masterpiece called TF2.
Look, I was just making some suggestions for some classes and some guns.
Did you look at the Meet the Medic outtakes? That sort of explains the Medigun origins there.
I asked about the Doubleshot , because I saw a trivia on the TF2 wiki that said that Scout would have a option to double shot his weapon, and that thre is even a sound for it in the game files.
So Scout is "just a annoying fly"? So that is why they changed the PBPP. Wouldn't want the fly to get beefy, now would we?
I just suggested a design change to the Nailgun, no need to act like I insulted your sacred Idol or something. If you think that my idea for the Nailgun is bad, say so. Be fraking direct. Not "TF2 is not realistic" argument, alright?
Anyway grenades, yes or no? And I already have a list of what could work.

Thanks to Worms I've instantly imagined a gun that shoots exploding letters. In fact, such weapon may fit Scout.

Why even bother changing the nailgun design? It's fine the way it is.

"If you order now, I'll throw in a second beatin', absolutely free." The closest thing I got for Mailgun scout, can't believe I made that typo, its so perfect.
Also I don't know if anyone saw this but the official TF2 wiki has a page on TF2 Classic, that means we're RELEVANT. https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Team_Fortress_2_Classic#Gamemodes
Wonder what happened to the wiki's page for the other TF2C :v:
I love watching mods like this develop.
Who knows, a year from now, the big boys at Valve may be asking for this to be officially downloadable as a separate game on Steam, just like what happened with Black Mesa, some of those Portal Mods, etc.
Definitely one of the coolest things about Valve is how they'll help pick up fan projects, just like they helped turn Quake Team Fortress into Team Fortress Classic.
The mod is called Team Fortress 2 Classic. Meaning that it has elements of Team Fortress Classic, among which is the Nailgun. I was suggesting to make the TF2C Nailgun more like the TFC Nailgun with the ammo capacity of the TF2C Nailgun. Apparently that is a bad thing.

Just cause it's TF2 classic doesn't mean it's only taking elements from TFC, it also takes them from the TF2 Beta/Trailers, from which the Nailgun was derived from.
Additionally, from what I've read, most people would say nay to the grenades
The game aims to recreate the old or take concepts from past Fortress games, and take what works and add it to the game, as well as making new concepts and adding it.
By the way, I personally don't feel that Espionage would really fit the "Classic" thing this mod was going for (then again, there's Deathmatch, but that feels classic in the Quake/Grandfather clause way), so maybe if the mod was renamed to something like Team Fortress 2 Custom/Community Edition or something? Just a personal thing that gets me.

There was a post on the old forums about the name, with people saying about the same thing as you are. They wanted to change it to Team Fortress 2 Community, and they made a poll thing. The Devs said that Classic was only a temporary thing.
Honestly I think we should just leave the name as it is, it's what most people know the mod by, and it sounds better than Community
TF2 Classic is honestly the best name in my opinion.
Just because it adds new things, doesn't mean the name can't refer to the Classic elements.
Team Fortress 2 Classic sticks, and honestly, I can't think of anything that sticks like that does.
I like the idea of Community Team Fortress 2 since it represents the mod better, but people already call it Team Fortress 2 Classic, and Community TF2 implies that it's supposed to be TF2 as the community thinks it should be, which it isn't.
Could also give it some silly subtitle like Team Fortress 2: Operation Rollback or Team Fortress 2 Forever or something, but I can't come up with one that doesn't sound completely stupid.
I was inspired to make a random thing based off of this project.
