I'd suggest an outdoors bit somewhere, if you can fit one in. Completely indoors TF2 maps aren't the greatest.
I just want to say everything on the thread is looking awesome as usual, and the site is finally back up. I was really disappointed there are still no downloads for 2.0 up.

I wouldn't think Espionage would be as hectic as normal TF2, mainly because Espionage is basically TTT, and the only two characters who are equipped with guns from the start are the Guard and Spy.
But after the two minute mark everyone would go for the weapons, and then yeah it would get a bit hectic depending on what weapons are put in the armory,

Maybe put it on a google doc, so everybody can work on it and have their own version.
I'd love to put a medical chamber where there are saws chopping up things, and it can be turned on or off by anyone. But it might make people put too much focus on killing their teammates rather than the spy.

Basicly, one or groups have popped up for [I]playing[/I] TF2C, yet I thought we had to wait till the mod got an update for it to be safe to play.
In short, is the mod safe to play or are these groups asking to be hacked?

we just have to wait for valve to fix the server list
we're connecting and playing without the server list, just with the connect console command

valve patched the security exploit, no word on the master server glitch yet. if we released a patch right now, you wouldn't be able to connect to any servers through the browser. you'd have to have them in your favorites or know the IP

We do have some (extremely minor) security / feature updates that ideally we want to release before you do play. Mainly setting cl_customsounds back to 0 in the event of further issues with audio files and a few issues with reading strings.
If you're going to play I'd advise setting cl_customsounds to 0 to be safe. (The sound issue should be fixed, but its a good precaution.)

Any CVAR that can restrict file sharing between client <-> client or client <-> server will offer a higher level of protection yes. That said the more you restrict these the fewer features you can use.
Personally think until we release a working patch if you're going to play the game you should be okay with sprays and custom sounds disabled and only play on trusted servers.

BLU nor RED need to have extra spawns on a 2-CP map. No official 2-CP A/D has more than 1 spawn for each team. This is true from Dustbowl to Amaranth. The maps are small enough to not have to worry about much walking to get where you need to go.

I know there won't be any new classes added, but the guard dog would be awesome in TF2C. ( Making it wouldn't be awesome through, so thats one of the reasons why G.D. will never be added)
Thank you all for helping out this awesome mod. I like it and it is a shame that the whole mess with the hackers happened.
Now onto something related to the mod. If you look at some of my previous posts, you will see that I would like grenades, and a beefier Nailgun design. I do have a idea for the grenade implementation, but this post is not about that.
Since grenades are going to be a bother to implement(and they are better off in a new build, I can wait, but consider implementing them) I would like to suggest just a visual change to the Nailgun.
Keep the magazine, but use a updated version of the TFC Nailgun body. Does that sound good?
And I will tell you why I want a visual change to the nailgun. You know that Mythbusters do gun myths? Well they did a Nailgun one. Turns out that it does not have enough "punch" to the gun to do any damage. The TFC Nailgun and Supernailgun and TF2C Nailguns however do have a "punch" to them.
So updated weapon body of the TFC nailgun:

You said this before; it doesn't matter for TF2 how realistic it is. The nail gun model we have currently is the one originally intended for the Scout, so it fits.
I wouldn't entirely mind a seperate nailgun styled after the TFC one, but I think it would be better to focus on more interesting, unique sidegrades rather than giving Scout two nailguns and three scatterguns or something.

changing a weapon's appearance so that it fits realistic standards isn't really logical in a game like tf2, a game where tons of crazy stuff happen
