I like the idea for a bucket system. I played Timesplitters a lot as a kid and I like being able to carry an armada of guns with yourself. Also, I really think that a mantread affect on death match would be fun with jump pads.

well, the bucket system is what is currently ingame. It's just that it is limited to three weapons at once

Jump-pads and/or sprint-pads scattered around larger maps seems to be a lot of fun, it could bring multiple floors map to a more fluent game experience. As a building, it seems out of place for the scout. the mantread mechanic is great, and shouldn't be limited to the jump-pads; crushing an opponent from a rooftop is something I wanna try to do!

pass_warehouse jump pads and launch pads are really fun, and I think it's a simple brush. One map that would benefit from jump pads is blockfort, soldier has such a huge advantage on that map due to it being very vertical.
i just noticed this
at the end of the pistol reload animation for the scout, the pistol awkwardly moves upwards (only the pistol, not the hands) so it's not facing down and you can see it clip a bit
now it does this in live tf2, but the actual hands are moving upwards along with the pistol not just the weapon and it's also pretty much instant.
not sure if it's hard or not, but we could just copy the hand reload animations from live tf2 and it would probably be fixed
basically: pistol reload is kinda messed up, the pistol shifts upwards at the end instead of the actual hands doing it

I'm not gonna take up the entire page by copying and pasting my post here, but this picture sums up the concept.

I applied a filter showing what someone with the most common type of colorblindness would see, but adding a unique pattern to each uniform would let someone differentiate the teams no matter what type they have.
I'm not gonna pretend like I know how to make good textures but if anyone is interested in a skin pack for this I could try and make one.

BLU = Black
RED = White
GRN = Checkerboard
YLW = Vertical lines
A color blind mode where teammates are always white, and everyone else is black regardless of team, seems like the most simple solution.

In 4 team modes, you can only disguise as one of the enemy teams. There are 4 to choose from. If they disguise for the team you're on, then they're white. If they don't then they are colored black.
Someone suggested for the colorblind mode to made the classes with their team coat of arms. your thoughts on this?

Anyway about the colorblind mode suggestion. The RED BLU YLW AND GRN team shapes on the classes or something else?
Would the Super shotgun for the Heavy be a good idea? Also about the leadpipe for the Heavy, if we use the Heavy models for the stock reskins for the Lead pipe as well as a increased range similar to the Eyelander, would that work? Or is it stupid.
Also how do you tag things? I want to help when there is a voting event on some ideas.

Honestly no gamemode would work right.
If you only know if a player is an enemy or not you lack some vital information in most situations, for example in a 2 vs 1 scenario where there are 2 enemy soldiers, knowing that they actually are on different teams will make you act in a completely different way.
A while back someone suggested making one team zombies and another robots in colorblind mode. It's not a brilliant idea, but it's not horrible.
There isn't going to be a perfect solution, a game so heavily engineered around its visual design is going to have issues for the visually impaired no matter what.

That reminds me of the Robot grunts from German Half-Life for some reason and HL multiplayer. This could work pretty well actually. Since we would have Zombies, Humans and Robots, what would the last team be?

Possibly. The model changing is actually better because skins are just 2D and could be difficult to notice, while models replace the whole thing which is easily differentiable. The other team could be Aliens, Polygons or anything in that matter.

He have not even started working on it yet. We would like to get deathmatch done before we move on to other stuff.
