The developers do not want us to be playing the game even though the exploit is fixed, so don't put the download link up.
I have uploaded just a bit under 700 screenshots to my profile. These are screenshots I have taken since I started playing TF2C in March. (1.8.3)
This collection represents the hopes, dreams, fun, bugs, and just plain discovery that encapsulated those days. It's not easy to get the whole server to say, go Demoman or Medic anymore. I'm not mad at people wanting to play the game, I just sometimes miss the days where we could get the whole server to do that. I grow oddly nostalgic about it, even though it was only a few months ago.
The screenshots themselves aren't in 100% correct order. If you know of the update history for 1.8.3 and above, you should be able to get the date correct. Beta stamp means it's 2.0, and if you see the community maps, then you have stumbled across a 1.9.0 screenshot.

i have to say i love TF2C and it sucks terribly that valve hasnt fixed the master server bug yet i hope it is fixed so this awesome project can live it would be a damn shame if it was to die due to valves lazyness

Blockfort is trash, the gameplay is Sniper land and I don't think it takes too much effort to realize the aesthetic is not something that would fit in a finished TF2C map. I can commend the new version for using the pre KOTH logic but it's still a bad map with Sniper lanes to obscene distances.

Afraid I have to agree with you. All the times I played there was no Snipers, only Nailgun/SMG Scouts and RPG Soldiers. Then again, those were the only two classes with new weapons back then that were interesting.
Mod has been down for months and already people are having hard nostalgia trips.
I'm pretty worried how Valve hasn't made a fix yet since this leaves a number of multiplayer mods in the bin, not just TF2C.

Hey, i have ideas 4 tf2 classic. First I think that you should get some other content from 2006 trailer of tf2 like longer knife for spy any grenade launcher should have grenades in it and they should be exploded remotely. I think that would be good idea.

the game already has the original spy knife animation from 2007, the one from 2006 is super long and would make spy weaker than the god damn pyro

Such things need to be tested on the field, to check if it doesn't break the game general feel, the balance, etc... Throwing concepts shouldn't be done; when you have an idea, you think about it for a day or a week.
Let's take the spy longer animation: Like Cpt. Cakes said, it would break the spy's backstab. It looks good in the trailer, it's true, but you aren't supposed to find standing targets like that sniper on the field of battle. Taking too much time to pull out a backstab could make you miss some big opportunities that can make the whole strategy of your team fail.
For the remote detonating grenades: it originates from TFC, in which the demoman had 2 kind of grenade launcher, one similar to the actual TF2 greande launcher, and the other from the trailer. As you can see in Live TF2, Valve made the choice to keep the timer/impact grenade, but change the remote detonating grenades to the sticky launcher. We can assume it was a smart choice, Valve knew what they were doing when developing TF2. (I recall that TF2 was pretty much perfectly balanced when it came out in 2007, if you played it as it was intended.)
But this choice was made in 2006-7, and the weapon permutation system wasn't in the developers mind. With today's standard, I wouldn't be surprised to see such a gun being introduced in TF2 or TF2C. I would even recommend SVDL's TFC inspired grenade launcher, if he release it someday. (SVDL, if you read this, know that I'm super hyped to see an other TFC inspired set of yours)
The MIRV could also be implemented in TF2C, but it has to be tested, to give it a balanced radius, damaging, etc... I don't know what is in the developers's actual line of fire right now.
