Really, REALLY dumb idea, why not make a camera system UI similar to the one in fnaf.
If they did that, they'd be called autistic and blahblahblah because manchildren.

EDIT: ok someone deleted it now

Especially if the Security Guard will be able to see it like a Medic would.

Just remember, Espionage is so far away that it is just words on paper, some models, and apparently a really cool map
Sort of defeats the purpose of having a silent kill wildcard when the RED team could just look at the round time and see if it jumps a minute without a kill feed. I'll say just make every Spy kill silent like TTT and only have the killfeed show if a body is found. At the same time, I think the round time should change according to the numbers of players. I mean, a 20 player match with 5 spies and 15 workers and ONLY 5 minutes would make each round really short if there's so many workers working on their own objectives at once.
Perhaps the add time function should be tied to something other than killing people? Since the red team has one primary objective and one secondary objective (surviving vs reducing time), Perhaps the blu team could have a secondary objective as well, which only adds time, this way the agents can strategize by either giving themselves more time or killing people quickly Since the timer is basically a countdown for the special forces to save the red team, the things that postpone it could be things like cutting phone wires and placing out signal disruptors. Or since the blue team can steal the mop off the janitor, perhaps cleaning away blood adds to the timer if its done by the blue team
whats this then? a dev blog about our new in house tool?

That's great! Do you intend on giving BspVis a public release? Also... Espionage hype, anyone?
if we do this and we do enough balancing (for maps and weapons), the game is going to be more balanced than TF2 itself
if we do this and we do enough balancing (for maps and weapons), the game is going to be more balanced than TF2 itself
The operative word here is "if". EDIT: That Espionage document kind of weirds me out. It feels like something that should have been prototyped with placeholders to check if it was fun to play before endless man-hours were sunk into high-quality art assets. Not that said assets will be wasted with SFM around, but it still seems like putting the cart before the horse.
Wouldn't it be easier and be more intuitive to give the Janitor more health instead of damage resistance?
will any of the base balance changes from tough break update be added in the next beta? i would really like a new heavy reload, along a faster weapon switch speed.
Would there be an early release for the models of the Scientist, Civilian, etc. (when the models are complete of course) for Gmod or SFM, or would we have to wait for the gamemodes to come out to use them?
SO i keep seeing the term "Agent" being thrown around to replace the "spy" in espionage. are we going to make another model for the agent, or is this just soemthing random people have put in, and is not going to be related at all
I don't see why he shouldn't just be called Spy. If the Spy in Espionage has the Revolver, Knife, and Backstab ability of the regular Spy, I don't understand why he should get a different name.

so i just read on the wiki that the YLW CEOs name is 'Yeller Lemmum' please tell me this is true, and not some asshole with to much time.
The models will be released on the steam workshop when they are finished, regardless of game updates.
Ah, okay. Either I heard wrong or the policy changed since I last heard. Good to hear!

We also want to be free to change any part of him for the sake of good gameplay, and making him his own thing just gives us full freedom
esp_office_a3 Edited up the guard room so it looks alot better; Made the garage less bland; Added more detail to the warehouse, and probably will be the final version of the warehouse. Now for the new stuff: Finally did the offices and cubicles so its actually an office now; air vent in the janitor room leads to the guard room. Hope to hear some feedback, I always need it.
Please tell me those ladders are gonna be usable
Please tell me those ladders are gonna be usable
As far as I know, ladders DO work in TF2C because there are maps that have them, most notably in DM.
He functions differently than the spy, calling him "spy" will lead to people assuming he functions like the spy the're used to, and then they'd have trouble playing the game. If we do make him the "agent" why not base him off the tfc spy?
Does this gamemode have anything to attach it to TF2's gameplay outside of art assets?
Does this gamemode have anything to attach it to TF2's gameplay outside of art assets?
Gameplay-wise, no, it doesn't really look like it. I guess the class-specific objectives such as securing areas, pushing along test specimens and carrying papers from department to department, are going to be reminiscent of the standard TF2 gamemodes, but other than that, Espionage is kind of its own thing. But as long as the gameplay itself is solid, I don't think that's a bad thing.
I wouldn't mind if TF2C has a various of it's own things really.
