VaultF4's webserver has been "going nuts" all weekend. Thankfully only the database and writing data has fell over. You can still access the downloads fine. There's not much we can do about it.
Rest in peace forums, The mapping instructions will be missed.

I have a suggestion regarding the pyro; I believe the team has stated that (and correct me if I'm wrong), in terms of lore, they do not want to incorporate Pyroland or the 'cute side' of the pyro into their canon. I like that they're keeping him to his roots, as a sort of slasher film villain. However, if they felt the need to expand his role, why not do something like this? Also, is it possible to disable getting Revenges through kill assists in DM? That would make sense, since you didn't exactly work as a team to get that assist.
I think theres somthing wrong with the tf2classic website: the website works but the database whit the posts is gone [editline]28th December 2015[/editline] Can we please have this gun? (random deagle skin stuff)
Have it as a mod if you really want it. Throwing stuff like this is not helping the mod: imagine if everyone who like a certain skin throws it in with the amazingly surprisingly ineffective "please" in their demand?
I don't get the hate around Hat and Cosmetic item in TF2, people are saying it has fucked the game but .. how? they have no effect in gameplay whatsoever, they're just here for decorations ; they are here to make yourself a different ingame from the other. People are saying that the community is dead because of this exactly but no. Valve has made a good decisions with the cosmetic system,it saved the game because of the trading along with Free to play. It's the community who is responsible of this, not Valve ; I would love your idea (except the 4 team,no,seriously, why ? Why tf2 should have 4 team ? Is it your vision of the game based on TFC ? Even TFC had only two team.) being included in the TF2 base game and maybe your team included in the TF2team if the planet align together with earth. Nice project atleast, good luck to you :) EDIT : What is the Espionage gamemode exactly ? Is it every class are given office workers cosmetic and their class is basically Office worker ? Is it going to be a type of capture the intel gamemode ?
Many of valve's cosmetics break the TF2 artstyle horrificly and give the game a very very ugly look. It goes against the hard work of the original art team. Then valve has essentially created an incredibly fragile economy with TF2, and has exploited the game to make money with cheap cruddy mobile game tier microtransactions (the key to a crate that opens another crate comes to mind) The visison isnt tfc, its a community made TF2, something the players want for fun, and not for the profit of game makers. its a passion project not a profit one (TFC had four teams btw, let me tell you about murderball)

Even the PASS gamemode is actually made by an other studio. We're getting a lot of community made updates and when we get new weapons they aren't even properly tested. Frankly, I've love to see some "cosmetics/customization elements, but the developing team made a good decision in focusing on gameplay before anything else. for Espionage, it's some kind of remastered version of "Trouble in Terrorist Town": go check the information document linked... Somewhere. (I'd like to add that, frankly, things like conga, russian dancing & aerobics are just game-killing and doesn't fit in a mod that modify the gameplay, since the gameplay is dead with those taunts. But it's a minor detail.) You don't "save" a game with cosmetics & trading, you just make it suffocate until it's rotten: the only way to keep it alive is by new content.

(lol) I agree about the taunt, supposed to just .. taunt the player you just killed. Well,i hope to see some customisation, atleast some hat especially for the civilian, but the game seems amazing! So,"community additions" does it means that people could add their own models ? Make their own gamemode with their own asset ? http://www.valvesoftware.com/publications/2008/GDC2008_StylizationWithAPurpose_TF2.pdf the only thing that really breaks the artstyle are the clothing folds

Do you guys and gals suggest some weapons? If yes there are some TFC weapons for TF2 in the TF2 workshop for the Engineer. The Railgun. Would that be alright to put in theTF2C?
Stupid Question (Brace yourself) Can Cosmetics be thing? however they're open to everyone, everyone has them, and they fit the game completely. This is just a thought and I know you guys will completely be against it, But I think it'll bring a great level of customization to the game. If you are against the idea please have a legitimate reason why and not just "No, Fuck you"

Anyway i think the dev team should add the first set of hats in tf2

Cosmetics won't be a thing because there's more important things to implement than a feature that doesn't contribute to the game at all and bloats up file space.
I'm probably late, but whenever i try to connect to a dm server, it keep getting an error that says "the server is using different class tables" what should i do?
There is a serious lack of servers in this mod so far, also where can I play the gamemodes that have green and yellow team? I cant find any servers running them?
A simple solution would just be to have an option in the menu to turn cosmetics on or of on the client side.
A simple solution would just be to have an option in the menu to turn cosmetics on or of on the client side.
doesn't solve the problem where you have to download each new update's cosmetics even if you don't use them aka file bloat like someone said earlier
how about 1 real cosmetic for each class and then just bodygroup changes so like u could have a batters helmet for scout with no dog tags or backpack doesnt bloat file size and has a little bit of customizability
i used to think the whole "game about hats" thing was a joke but now i realize people really think the game would be incomplete without them
I'm probably late, but whenever i try to connect to a dm server, it keep getting an error that says "the server is using different class tables" what should i do?
Try updating your game, that error usually surfaces if your .dlls are from an old version.

People who want cosmetics in here miss the point of them. Cosmetics serve a dual purpose in TF2. To look good, but also to collect. Cosmetics in TF2C wouls miss out on the latter half of that. What's the use, many will say, of having this cool thing when everyone and their brother has it, or it can be gotten easily through achievements? Cosmetics are a status symbol. They show that you're serious enough about TF2 to put money into it. That's why they are popular even though TF2 is a first person game and you can't see your hats unless you taunt. That's why paints like pink and lime are so popular. Despite the fact they look like ass, people see other people using them and want to have them. That's why cosmetics will never work here, they miss out in that key factor.

I don't care how it gets added into tf2c, or if it depends on rarity. I've always been a fan of customization of any kind, and it doesn't matter to me whether I have to buy it or not. I'd be okay with a couple choosable bodygroups for each class, like the concept scout backpack or hair; or maybe a bodygroup for engie's cigar or other glove. Maybe you could have important unlocks change a character's appearance and/or animations, like the huntsman but to a larger degree. I like exploring character designs, no matter the cause.
doesn't solve the problem where you have to download each new update's cosmetics even if you don't use them aka file bloat like someone said earlier
This mod includes copies of 90% of TF2's assets where mounting the VPKs would both suffice for the mod's purposes and seriously reduce bandwidth bills. We're well past the file bloat event horizon.
