I don't like playing TF2C because most of the time there are only 2 people on the non dm servers, the only non dm server in the US which has a lot of people is the micspam cancer server
I've been on that server before justmute everyone in game or just lower your mic receive volume in settings and there you go.
If live TF2 weapons are added, will they get new models or are they going to use the models from TF2?
Judging from what we've seen of both the Flare Gun and the Kritzkrieg,I'd say both
I'm not too fond of giving the Heavy the Sandvich, especially as in my eyes, it doesn't really fit the older TF2 aesthetic. It's a less, "serious weapon," and the Sandvich kinda outclasses the Shotgun in a way, as being able to restore yourself to full health, extinguish teammates, and such overextends from the Heavy's primary role of soaking, dealing, and distracting damage. New weapons should change a playstyle without changing the role or abilities of a class too far I think.
I don't see how it overextends the Heavy's role, in fact I think it supports the role instead. The Heavy deals out damage, soaks damage and distract damage. With a Sandvich, he could heal himself and continue to do this much longer.
And the Shotgun can compete with the Sandvich, Sandvich is just easier to use if you're not as experienced with TF2. Shotgun gives you a bit of defense if you're caught by surprise, as well as damage on the move; Sandvich does not.
I don't see how it overextends the Heavy's role, in fact I think it supports the role instead. The Heavy deals out damage, soaks damage and distract damage. I'd kinda be fine with the Sandvich if it acted as a small medkit that didn't extinguish, and didn't heal for full health. I'd also prefer if the Sandvich wasn't an actual sandwich My main belief is that classes should just stick to mainly what they do best, and should have tools to accomadate what they do best, without stepping too far into the boundaries of other classes (medics and healing, pyros and afterburn/close quarters specialist)
Okay, why not make Sandvich a small health pack drop instead of a medium one? Also I'm gonna go and try to make some TF2C videos (and I've already made one, although it suffers from some bad echoing in my mic), not sure if I'm gonna go for a competitive outlook or for humour only. Or maybe both. Either way, I love this mod.
It allows him to heal other players and extinguish them, giving him a Medic-lite role out of combat. I'd honestly be fine with the Sandvich if it acted as a small medkit that didn't extinguish, and didn't heal for full health. (and if its model were a literal health pack or something more fitting for the battlefield)
But it only allows him to heal just one person for a small amount of HP, and as we all see in TF2, no one takes the Sandvich in the floor to heal themselves so your point is moot.
But it only allows him to heal just one person for a small amount of HP, and as we all see in TF2, no one takes the Sandvich in the floor to heal themselves so your point is moot.
This is getting kinda offtopic, but typically one would(or should) aim and throw the Sandvich at the teammate, making sure the thrown Sandvich actually hits their teammate? Also, half health (ranging from the 60s to 150 hp) is not a small amount for the right classes. That's the difference between life and death from typical mid range damage sources
Since this mod has an items_game.txt, would it work with the TF2 Items Editor from 2010?

really late i love the civilian's voice and attitude, but with voice commands like "spy" you really shouldn't beat around the bush. a couple of those lines drag on to the point that they'd be useless at actually calling out a spy, which obviously you don't want in a gameplay scenario. "that [class] is a spy" works just fine

VIP isn't in full-swing active development beyond the occasional asset creation and map tests. Deathmatch is the current Dev focus regarding new content. So don't worry, when it comes down to it, we'll probably end up cutting or adding lines as and when needed to fit the gamemode properly. Thanks for the compliments on the voice!
I ported over a map from csgo from halo 2, maybe someone could get it uploaded to a server for a big ol playtest [t]http://i.imgur.com/jFrGdNW.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/3ZHzd8l.png[/t]

Other attributes will be accepted, but only the ones we have implemented will actually do something.
I keep getting this error everytime I launch this mod. I have tried: - Verifying game cache - Disabling antivirus - Updating Source SDK Base 2013 multiplayer Do I have to install Team Fortress 2 for this to work?

Set Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer to beta_test

Map Suggestion: I think ctf_convoy would be a good map to be converted to DM mode, with weapon pickups added and the intel removed. Would almost be a homage to UT2004, seeing as that game had a heavy deathmatch theme.
Can you use SourceMod/Metamod on this mod? Since my friend wants to make a server with it along with some plugins. Also can anyone fully explain in details what tf2c_groundspeed_cap does?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/UJSgWK9.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/HCpOukR.png[/t] Rainbow colored flares. :v:
I can't tell 100%, but it looks like you just took the RED skin and recolored. I recommend using RED's skins and textures to recolor YLW, and BLU for GRN. Basically Warm colors and Cool colors will produce the best results for recolors of the teams with Warm or Cool colors. It's what I did for the textures in my recolor pack.
Also can anyone fully explain in details what tf2c_groundspeed_cap does?
tf2c_groundspeed_cap is a boolean ConVar which you should either set to 0 or 1 which will essentially enable or disable bhop, where 0 is enabled.

The devs did it presents and party hats on vault f4 servers!
The sandvich is one of the most "Classic" TF2 item i've seen in the game. It also has it's own "Meet the" so it deserve a place in the TF2c :)
Hey so we're running a small feedback survey for the current beta, you can find it here. We're trying to gather more complete data on players' opinions of our developments so we would very much appreciate it if you filled this out.
