Hatless hats are removals of the class' normal headwear. Normal hats are additions of things to the hats (mining light) or entirely new hats replacing the old default class hat (panama, stainless pot).
The Demofro is a normal hat. It replaces the beanie. If you use that 'it stays on when he dies it's a hatless' logic, then you must think the scout's headphones and cap are his hair. In which case you are a moron.
