My friend has successfully made 110 USD from scamming in TF2.
I am happy.
I bought 8 Zatiochis off some guy for 2 scrap each, then sold them all for a Bills, and 7 weapons. I then sold the weapons and the Bills for about $15, and bought the Hachimaki.
EDIT: To clarify, the weapons were the newer Vintage ones, that are worth about a ref each.
