You enter Steam ID's, type status r whatever the program takes as input,
the program usually outputs various types of data, for example which player has what item with how many hours played.
That way, you sort out targets way easier.

Quickly see which people haven't played long = usually less knowledgable, and have valuable things that they may not know are valuable.
It doesn't help with the actual scamming part of it, just finding targets.
