I didn't say it was unfair- I was using it as an example as to why the Saxxy Award Trophy couldn't have special stats and would have to be a reskin of an already existing weapon. (preferabbly the stock ones)

Great, 10 fucking minutes after I joined an idle server tf2 updates and I don't get any items
Quick note: If your TF2 keeps crashing while it's on the "Loading..." splash (aka the hl2.exe crash thing), I started having this issue after the update on the 12th.
I tried everything from verifying the integrity of the cache, to defragging. I even tried reinstalling TF2 and a suggestion to delete the contents of "<username>/team fortress 2/tf/bin". Nothing worked and my TF2 kept crashing during the loading process.
I was talking to FlaminSarge earlier and he mentioned renaming/deleting all the contents of "<username>/team fortress 2/tf".
So I went through and deleted all the folders inside "<username>/team fortress 2/tf".
Had some issues with deleting the "replay" folder, something about getting permission from Administrators (friggin' Win7), but I solved them by going into the replay folder and deleting the contents of it, which allowed me to finally delete the folder itself.
Popped my favorite Launch Options, "-novid -nopreload" back in, and started up TF2.....no crash!

I do that. It only works ONCE. It will start crashing again when you're done playing....or crash

If Valve doesen't do a promotion for Duke Nukem Forever id be surprised, picking all these other games but not Duke would hurt me emotionally.

Nah. Works just fine for me. See, the Hatless Update caused my TF2 to not let me connect to any servers. I'd get to like, 98% connected, and the game would freeze and say hl2.exe has crashed.
Along came the Replay Update which fixed the game for me. I had no issues whatsoever.
Then the update from the 12th rolled in and broke the game again. So I did the method I posted (which was told to me by FlaminSarge), and it's fixed my game.
In the past few hours, I've started up/exited out of TF2 at least 20 times, due to working on and testing some SourceMod plugins for my server.
But hey, what works for me obviously might not work for everyone else.
Would be nice if Valve added some sort of trophy system that kinda worked like achievements, but the trophies are like in a cabinet and aren't icons.
Would be better than just slapping this on as a weapon skin.

This just in, DNF promo items. Duke Misc shades for Heavy and a pack of bubblegum that functions like the Sandvich. If the Shades are equipped with the Hound Dog, they override the aviators

Valve doesn't go to the company for promotions. The company goes to Valve.
It's up to Gearbox if they want to promote duke Nukem in TF2.
