Yeah, the oldschool pack doesn't really say "8-bit" more like HLDM or something like that.
TFC to me.
i'm pretty sure you can just take the sound files out of half-life 1 and there's your oldschool pack sounds
hey, I did that thing I said I would. Not sure your guidelines, but the texture is 64x64, paintable, and 49 polys iirc. Comes in the importer zip. edit: probably should have checked the size with the low poly models, think it'd work?
i don't want oldschool game sounds please
Neither, but it can always be an optional thing
My idea for downgraded sounds was running them through Bitcrusher until they sound like they came from a 90s PC game. You know, with slightly grainy audio and what not.

[editline]24th August 2013[/editline] (my Spy suit textures on the last page are 64x64 at the largest)
Oh! 32x32 or 16x16? Cheers on the filtering, was wondering if I was missing that. EDIT: New and improved, thanks!
Here's what I've done for the Demoman's taunts: Using Bitcrusher, I set the WAV files to a 6-bit bit sample, and 6x downsampling. Overall, I think it sounds terrible enough to fit the ethos of this pack. Let me know what you think.
Might be a bit extreme, my mind was imagining something like DN3D. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9G-3MD9zNQ

ok, heres a screen with the low poly models.
Put a highpass filter on to get rid of that high-frequency sadness.
I can't find a high pass filter in Vegas.
I can't find a high pass filter in Vegas.
this is what it would sound like, this is with high pass set to cutoff 3000 Hz.
this is what it would sound like, this is with high pass set to cutoff 3000 Hz.
it sounds a bit muffled, although i have no idea how avoidable that is with the effect you're trying to create
if you want oldschool versions of every sound in tf2 you are better off wearing ipod earbuds not only would it take decades to make, it would be rather huge to download, and doesn't increase performance.
Sneak peak of me remaking every single VMT Used a special trick to get an alpha mask and a spec mask at the same time, the sentries were supposed to be alpha'd. Also added a spec mask to the sentries which it didn't have, you can see it on the minigun barrels.
I can't seem to get the fempyro textures working. Could somebody help me here?
this is what it would sound like, this is with high pass set to cutoff 3000 Hz.
This would be awesome for a oldschool robot replacement
I can't seem to get the fempyro textures working. Could somebody help me here?
Do you have the high poly fem pyro installed?
Do you have the high poly fem pyro installed?
If you mean 'Femme Pyro Rennovation', then yes
So, do you guys know when is next release?
So, do you guys know when is next release?
soon, but unknown, because my job has suddenly given me a bunch of hours, leaving me only a couple of day's plus a few hours, before/after shifts, hopefully tomorrow if i can get everything taken care of that i need to take care of (cashing my check...by riding my bike up the street 3 miles... misc house chores and whatnot) plus the few hours after my recent shift, and nap, i will be working on it untill everything opens up.
What about Ubersaw, Crusader's Crossbow, Kritzkrieg models? They just invisible in last pack and Kritz\Quick-Fix\Vaccinator have incorrect healbeam :<
sooo what about that?
complete retexture by me
I'm sorry if i brought back this thread from the dead, but, will you guys do anything about Medic's viewmodels? An update a few days ago broke them
everything is been re-packed. I think... There are a lot of things that are broken in the game right now. specially engineer gunslinger (again).

[t]http://i.imgur.com/kCSdVUD.jpg[/t] a little sfm render
[t]http://i.imgur.com/kCSdVUD.jpg[/t] a little sfm render
That's pretty neat. You can barely tell the difference from the original if you're just looking at the thumbnail.
