who cares?
uhm insaneicide should if he values his time :p
After 18 June 2014 update, the pack is not working :/
thanks for bringing that to my attention, though i was aware of because the patch notes stating that models were moved to the new c_model system, and with the new taunt system i figured that would break things aswell, ill start working on the fixes today, ill also include the spycicle aswell, and possibly the newest spy wep i been trying to work on in max, but kept gettin sidetracked, anyway, expect a update soon. when? idunno.
also, if a mod happens to read this post, would it be possible to change the thread title to something along the lines of "TF2 Oldschool Pack Thread V.2 Steampipe Broke Perfomance Increase Edition" ? seeing as i have tried and it didnt work

Thanks! Also, God I can't make a sentence, because I'm Polish. Ok, here we go. Will player models work with new cosmetics like Bruiser's Bandana?

whats wrong with it? they all "work" but have issues like clipping or conflicting with the lowpoly-ness of the player models, but other than that, they all should work

I mean, will it look acceptable?
acceptable, yes. good... no. at a good distance, the clipping is barely noticeable.
that's all I need to know. thanks
hi im using whis pack for a almost a year but i got a question does this realy increese fps in game?
btw im running tf2 on crappy gma3100 (integrated piece of shit)
it does for me.
how much fps did u gained?
it does for me.
that's interesting.
since the MVM update, using this mod have improved none of my old PC performance.
it needed to be remolded into a new file every update to make it consistent and improve anything.
I dunno if this still a thing for this pack work as it was originally intended to do (aside from the nostalgia).
I'm really curious to know which version you are using and how much it improves or your FPS.
maybe it can even motivate Insaneicide to not let this mod idea died :3
hmm i was using latest version and i think i gained 2-4 bonus frames in 12 vs 12
creator could improve pack so it could give u a slight boost (sry for bad eng)

Jesus guys, hold your horses, it's not so easy to make a update for a pack like this, requires a good amount of time. Also if you want to have some "fps boost" with this pack just uses everything on medium, remove motion blur, reflections to simple, that kind of stuff, you get a good fps boost with this

Having 60 fps is good enough, it may decay if you get too much explosion effects at the same time, stuff like that. Don't expect to get like 120 fps miracles, it gives a slight boost. Unless you are running on a toaster, then the mod is not going to help at all

i DONT have stable 60 fps well 2 fort in all cases is 50-120 fps but larger maps like hightower i get avg 25-45 frames

That's good enough, i don't see why you are complain about it, at least you are getting something that's around 30 fps, which is good enough. The main idea of the pack, waaaaay back, wasn't meant to be a fps booster, was supossed to resemble the old 64 bits games, the fps boost was actually a side effect of it

um, that thread title was made after the fps boost discovery, but before the steampipe performance increase problems (in otherwords after increasing performance was a null point in the pack, id like to have a mod change the thread title since i get have been constantly yelled at all the time for false advertising since steampipe DESSPITE constantly posting the issues regarding steampipe and performance issues)
and besides, i was LUCKY to get 30 frames on my old toaster, even with the pack installed i got a max of 45 when it still increased performance for my toaster, hell, on my laptop im lucky to get above 24 frames pre-steampipe
in other news, ill be testing the fixes to the viewmodels and player models as soon as i finish them
after that a release will be incoming

30 fps is good, you can aim, you can walk way better than having 20-15 fps, which makes your gameplay very bad. 30 fps it's kind of what people consider the "common and decent" fps level, having something at this level it's good. I believe you are kind of "new" about this pack: this pack has been in development since 2011 or 2012 if i'm correct, this is indeed an old pack and still: the main purpose of this pack is to give the oldschool style from 64 bits era to this game, the performance boost was a side-effect from this

well i think this side effect made this pack that popular soo... cant wait to see the results of new release :D
this pack does not improve fps anymore
turn down all the settings, have no programs running in the background, etc.
if that doesnt work get a new computer, thats all i can say

I dunno if it's shitty or not but Razer's Game Booster is worth the shot. I haven't tried it myself though but you can
