Yes. It seems they want to put this in a big weapon pack for a major update AND there are lots of problems with this detonator like complaints about the downside and the it's heavily affected by ping.

I was zoomed in a lot so you can see the details really easily. The medals have the same shiny effect to it and look very similar.
