FYI hitboxes does not change, and as a spy you shouldn't be cloaked all the time, I bet you are the kind of spy sitting with the C&D in a corner for the entire game.
Are you sure? I once saw a griefing video where a Spy disguised as a Heavy of his own team and 2Fort Snipers raged because they couldn't headshot him.
I always hate it when I see a Spy diguised as a Scout because it shows me that they don't know how to disguise properly
Scout is one of the least obvious disguises, if you know how to use it.
Are you sure? this thread is magnificent absolutely flawless
Don't go in clans. In TF2 that is.
You wont get scout hitboxes if you disguise as scout, no.
Just let this thread die already.
TBR is a good clan, but because you just want to be in a clan for the sake of it they wouldn't let you near them.
A TF2 clan is more often a group of friends or a collection of players who own/frequent one specific server. They aren't sports teams constantly scouting for new talent so they can compete in some international TF2 league. Like "Whoa dude, this spy is really good! I hate to cut our current spy player, but the clan comes first!"
I always hate it when I see a Spy diguised as a Scout because it shows me that they don't know how to disguise properly
Scout is the only good disguise in 6v6 (Soldier + Demo slow you down (Soldier is good if you kill a Medic and are near their spawn since in 6v6 soldiers will often jump back to spawn to help the Medic build uber faster once he gets back up), Medic & Demo is too obvious and important to the team, utility classes are pretty obvious and don't carry the benefits the Scout disguise has or are used rarely)). Scout is one of the only two good disguises in non-6v6. (Pyro is fine if you're playing with people who aren't exceptionally skilled and will easily fall for this cliche disguise) Scout disguise is good because: +Smallest + thinnest appearance lets you hide and makes you harder to see if you shimmer while cloaked. +All his weapons are held closer to his body, meaning you don't have to change your disguised weapon if hiding around corners like you do Pyro. +His appearance does not match the Spies the most next to the Heavy. +Scouts wander around more than any other class, meaning a Scout disguised Spy has literally a believable reason to be just about anywhere. Any disguise, no matter what you pick, is bad if you just walk around in the open like an idiot, which is the only way people are going to notice the speed difference of the Scout disguise. If you want to fool people with the Scout disguise in the open (you're using Dead Ringer, for example), you can walk backwards (makes the speed difference really unnoticeable due to speed loss while moving backwards) or fake reload your disguised Scattergun (and chain the fake reloads to make it more believable). The only reasons to use a disguise are to: a) not get shot by Sentry Guns b) Trick people at long range who get a glimpse of you c) To not be noticed in the thick of the things. All disguises do A, every disguise that isn't Scout has routes or places that don't make sense for them to be, and the Scout is the scrawniest class who is usually in the thick of the things anyways, so he fits C fine. That said, as a Spy (especially versus good players, not a pub where you can generally lone wolf), you attack people who are distracted (and set up distractions with your team), and in a perfect world where you never failstab and all your distractions work great, technically any disguise (except the ones that slow you) are good since you'll never be seen. But since people aren't perfect, people make mistakes, or people use teamwork to counter such things once they wise up and adapt, you need a disguise that in the thick of things isn't very obvious but still keeps you mobile and at a quick glance would make sense anywhere, and Scout is pretty much the only disguise that pulls this off.
