You're so predictable.
"Guys, he's correcting people on their historical inaccuracies again, what a dummy am i right? xd"

I was thinking about doing a Scout set, based off Dirk the Daring from Dragon's Lair.
and you never miss an opportunity to be passive-aggressive to anyone you marginally dislike but you dont see me making snarky replies to every post you make like that
No one's stopping you.
and you never miss an opportunity to be passive-aggressive to anyone you marginally dislike but you dont see me making snarky replies to every post you make like that
I'm pretty sure he at least marginally likes me and he's still a passive-aggressive ass.
I'm pretty sure he at least marginally likes me and he's still a passive-aggressive ass.
Hold on a sec. What is going on here?
"Guys, he's correcting people on their historical inaccuracies again, what a dummy am i right? xd"

No one's stopping you.
Both of you need to grow up. People are putting effort into making these community updates and drama like this is a total piss-take.
Don't blame Ikes too much - he's just frustrated by Pag being a muck-raker who constantly stirs up shit for no reason and starts the whole drama train in the first place. Ikes, I appreciate you calling him out for acting that way, but maybe just put him on ignore like I did. No point trying to get him to stop being toxic, he's not gonna listen. Ignoring him isn't perfect, but it means we don't have to read his crap and can instead just focus on giving our 2 cents about items and update content. ...plus, every time you quote him, it kinda defeats the purpose of my setting him to ignore because it makes the comments visible that way. :v:
Welcome back, friend!
it's probably best to drop all this arbitrary arguing and create some nice content, guys. coming back to this thread with 10+ new posts filled with fighting probably isn't the greatest thing to see. get to what all of you are really good at. i like seeing community threads flourish with new concepts and fun wips. let's get back to that.

Lol On a more serious note, could work. His outfit is simple, but simple isn't necessarily a bad thing in all honesty, and hell, Scout does have a sword already that compliments the set.

But besides that, if anyone wants to help out, I am more than welcome to allow support :D
Still totally up for grabs!
For Lack of better phrasing I'm just going to come out and say it, I'm not the Best artist, not do I have the Best Design Software, Or Any besides Paint For that matter. But what i do have is a Passion For Tf2 And the Community That is constantly backing it. So i decided, "Hey I've always wanted to contribute to something In the Community, So Why Not. This concept isn't very detailed, But i hope it will Be enough to Get the Idea Across...
Still totally up for grabs!
That's a pretty generous percentage, you should be demanding at least 50% on those intuitive wooden bows.
That's a pretty generous percentage, you should be demanding at least 50% on those intuitive wooden bows.
What are you trying to say?
What are you trying to say?
nobody is going to pay you 35% for designing something that already exists it's basically asking someone "hey can i have 35% of the money for making a longbow/recurve, i was the one that asked for it to be added" doesn't work like that. the bows you've drawn here aren't unique enough to ask for any money at all
Oh? I've never understood that why not just an even split? But if concepts are don't have much worth what do you recommend as a good percentage for them.
Oh? I've never understood that why not just an even split? But if concepts are don't have much worth what do you recommend as a good percentage for them.
Pre-determined percentages are never the way to go about things. Put the work in first, then decide among the people that worked on it who should get what. Declaring percentages before all the work is done isn't gonna end well for anyone involved, and you shouldn't even be doing it for a percentage, anyways. Do it to have fun, and do it for yourself - not with the intent of monetary gain. Sure, potential income and the percentages behind it are a key part behind the way the Workshop works, but you shouldn't make it your primary focus, especially not now. Have the concept made, one way or another, and when - and only when - the item is finished, should you allocate percentages.
Oh? I've never understood that why not just an even split? But if concepts are don't have much worth what do you recommend as a good percentage for them.
unless you're on really good terms with the people you work with, concepts ever rarely call for an even split, most times. lots of time and work goes into the modeling process, the texture work, and sculpting if the item really needs it. sometimes even more technical stuff goes into item making, too from my personal experience, i've gotten anywhere in-between 20-30% if the concept is really fleshed out. i think there have only been a handful of times where an "even" split was needed because of how many people worked on a single submission, so that range only goes up an extra few percentage points more. depending on who you work with also, people can be pretty nice with what they give you. make good connections and improve every single day on your concept work - that can get you pretty far. and like void said: do it for the fun and experience, first and foremost! that's always number one. the hard work and dedication will be worth it.
Snip-O
Oh, It's just working with people in the past. I've been forced into the situation of accepting 10% and it seem like they were trying to take advantage. It just never really seem like there was much discussion, I just thought I'd outline an ideal percentage if that was the law of the land.
10% is pretty much the norm, 15% if you made a really good concept.

Build off of scout's shirt for the tunic while adding the collar and sleeves/undershirt for one item, hat's a no brainer and there's boots + the bag for a 3rd slot cosmetic. "Jerk the Jeering". Good luck with making it.
Updated a old weapon of my collection: It does use now 2 jigglebones. I thougth it might fit the medival theme a little

I thougth it might fit the medival theme a little
There's a lot of things about the design/execution on this I don't like: - That boxing glove's got an insanely weird shape? The thumb looks demented - So many stitches, maybe too much? Kinda strange - The Killing Gloves of Boxing don't have nearly that many brushstrokes on the gloves, maybe use that as reference because those brushstrokes are strange - You need to fiddle with the specular, like the glove can be that shiny, but the stick looks wrong because of how shiny it is - Also the stick could use a better wood texture, but probably still use that color from the spectrum I hope you use these to make it better
[t]http://i.imgur.com/8GNuwD3.png[/t]
That would work better as the heavy gloves.
That would work better as the heavy gloves.
Directly copying the style of one weapon and putting it on to another is not a good idea.
claimable concept for hair :) [t]http://puu.sh/piZAU/e5b8e57432.png[/t]
