Can I refund a TF2 pass? I just bought it, but nothing fucking works, can't even access anything, its' useless. Can such thing be refunded?
In a little bit once the servers go back up, you can refund it if you haven't activated it.
But afaik you can buy these chests from the steam market, which is not very cost efficient but whatever
You can't even find them on the market though either. :\
So I was playing pl_borneo [sp]psychopath12 was there he sniped me and killed bumbling spies[/sp], my team is getting stomped at the second-to-last point by waves of kritz charges. I walk out of spawn as a Scout with the stock scattergun and Wrap Assassin, and am instantly hit by a crocket and dominated. 10 seconds later, have finally respawned. Walk out of spawn, see a Soldier, throw a ball at him, get a crit. Switch to scattergun to finish him off, somehow get another crit and kill him for a revenge. Ohey, it's the guy that got a crocket domination on me :v:

Literally me today, as Heavy, walk out the fucking door, DH crit in face. Thank god I didn't remember what the fuck this "fun" is.
I made the mistake of buying one of the case keys before I even got one, and now I'm hearing that they don't even drop.
I've got a key too, i figured i'd hold onto it till i get a case. Of course they appear to not exist at all as of now
[thumb]http://www.sourceop.com/hell-met/TF2/assteroid.jpg[/thumb] what is going on with asteroid? This is on a brand new graphic card and nowhere else do I get artifacts.
safe to say this update got me, who's been inactive from tf2 for like 2 years back into playing it. Dammit valve! Love the new japan-themed map
Applying killstreak kits to weapons is so 2013, this year it's all about killstreaking thin air [t]http://puu.sh/iMoTN/9c1b6d5e8e.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/iMoTo/8d3ae9403f.jpg[/t] it isn't made for any weapon and trying to inspect it crashes my game, it's literally a fucking missingo
safe to say this update got me, who's been inactive from tf2 for like 2 years back into playing it. Dammit valve! Love the new japan-themed map
Well, Suijin has been around for awhile on some community servers, so it's not exactly new, but yes, it is awesome

Here I thought it mighta been me cause I removed my old hud to be able to view all the stuff like contracts and such (shudders from default hud sickness).
Damn, no chance to craft anything. I can't get the Black Rose because AvA is not available here.
Damn, no chance to craft anything. I can't get the Black Rose because AvA is not available here.
As I mentioned before, you can use SAM to get it, that game isn't available here so I had to do that.
As I mentioned before, you can use SAM to get it, that game isn't available here so I had to do that.
Tried that, doesn't seem to work, it keeps saying that I don't own this game.
Tried that, doesn't seem to work, it keeps saying that I don't own this game.
Use a VPN, login with it connected, 'add' it to your library (but don't download it) then use SAM while logged in? I know VPNs are against the ToS, but I've used them a few times in the past and nothing has happened (yet). It's not like I used them to get cheaper games (which I'm assuming, is why they don't like them). I generally used them to unlock games faster (Borderlands 2 for example).
the new maps are ok i guess only instance i paid any notice on the skins was the rocket launcher with orange in it, thought they were rocket jumpers gameplay wise: mini sentries last longer, blu has more heavies
I assume items are gonna be only dropping in price? I completed both contracts and got some drops, realistically I can sell both items for 8 Euro. Should I sell them right now or will price go up? 5 Minutes later: Well, I sold it, made my pass money back from two basic drops. It was: Shot in the Dark Sniper Rifle Iron Wood minigun.

The longer you leave it, the more saturated the market becomes and the price falls as a result - until it's practically worthless.
Who the fuck even buys this stuff? I never really understood why people buy random items for TF2 and CS GO, I personally only spend money on keys usually trying to make back profit + to calm down my gamblers feelings. But I never bought weapons myself (except for shitty P90 with stat trak for 80 cents because I wanted to keep track of my kills). [editline]4th July 2015[/editline]
If it's anything like CS:GO, sell it as soon as you get it (if you don't want it). But well, I am not hardcore TF2 player, I only play sometimes for item drops and on fun events like haloween as it tends to be fun. As long as Valve doesn't change CS GO mechanics (skins cosmetic, no advantage available to any players because they have better skins etc..) I don't care what Valve does.

I think right now is as good as time as any to divulge TRADE SECRETS about Valve seeing as I'm home, I've had my chance to sleep, I've annihilated my Panda Express entrees, and I'm getting cozy with the desktop again. I decided to take a trip to Washington with my little brother and my mom, partially because I wanted to enjoy my brother who's doing Stryker training right now and partially because I want to leave the hell hole that is Las Vegas. [t]http://cmsimg.armytimes.com/apps/pbcsi.dll/bilde?Site=M6&Date=20090408&Category=NEWS&ArtNo=904080334&Ref=AR&MaxW=640&Border=0&Stryker-pickup-crash-near-Lewis-kills-1[/t] Pictured above, a stryker (not containing my brother) I e-mailed Valve a little bit before leaving because I didn't want to be an ass and I wanted to know if it was okay. I didn't know and still know next to nothing about how tours at Valve work. Sadly, no response came around, and last Wednesday my brother and I bit the bullet and set sail for Bellevue. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/gatoraidboi.jpg[/t] Pictured above, my brother (not containing a stryker) Walking around Bellevue is like walking around living stock photos every day. You could slap a picture of anybody walking down the street on the front page of any website and it would look stock as shit. Anyway, here's Microsoft's tower: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/microsoft.jpg[/t] Gabe Newell works right behind it. Using the power of the internet and no common sense, we walked past the same buildings over and over in absolute confusion. The building isn't marked with anything. I didn't know what I was doing. I'm a Vegas kid used to neon signs that invite you in. I walked past the Microsoft building three times. I was walking around staring at my GPS treating it like it's some metal detector that was pointing me to an obscure building. I got frustrated and asked my family to follow me inside. Inside the building, there's no indication that Valve exists. We went straight to the directory and looked under "V" and "S". No Valve, no Steam. This wasn't a mission I really put a lot of thought into, so I sat down and thought, "Well, fuck. I don't know what I should do. Did they move?" I decided to bite the bullet with my brother and enter the elevator with negative expectations. I looked at the address and pushed the first number that came to mind. [sp]not 3[/sp] The elevator opened and I'm surprised with a dark, muted green wall adorned with a small, boxed logo: Valve. I spoke too loud and said, "Uh, well I guess this is what we're looking for!" The receptionist hollered for me and said, "Well, that depends." I turned right: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/logo.jpg[/t] The receptionist asks what we need in a super friendly manner. "I left an e-mail on Sunday asking if we could visit." The bad news was that they just finished a huge tour, and that you're supposed to set up an appointment - all of this being told to us with a ridiculously conversational charm. Everyone there is human, in case you were wondering. She asked us who we were, and the greatest thing happened next and my brother wasn't even conscious of what he was doing. He said, "I'm a fan, I'm here in Washington training as a soldier and my family is in from Vegas" and the receptionist flipped into maternal mode. She was like, "Oh no, this is bad. You're gonna make this hard on me guys..." while laughing and starting to look around. She asked how old my brother was, and he replies, "19." She immediately planted her face into her hands saying, "Oh god. How long are you guys going to be here?" "Today's our last day." All the while, I'm standing there saying, "Ah, no it's fine! I don't want to intrude - you guys are huge and this is a workplace. I'm just happy we got to see the front door." It was at that point that she called a tour guide, and while we were waiting we talked and checked out the lobby, which was super decked out in fans' gifts and stuff like portfolios of concept art. (I'm the middle guy in the first picture below) [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/family_in_front_of_logo.jpg[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/lobby_wall.jpg[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/lobby_guitar.jpg[/t] The entire hallway is adorned with huge paintings of the TF2 characters. My brother was looking at this one when he turned around and instinctively treated Gabe Newell like a sargent: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/pyro.jpg[/t] Here's a picture from Wired giving a better view of the hallway: [t]http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/gamelife/2013/11/valve36.jpg[/t] Soon enough, Fletcher, the first-year guy who apparently did the electrical engineering for the Steam Controllers gave us the tour. We were taken to the top floor first, where we saw this guy: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/family_in_front_of_moving_sentry.jpg[/t] If you're wondering why the picture's blurry, that's because we all flipped out because it began tracking my brother and ONLY my brother. Our tour guide didn't even know it could do that. Fletcher took a better picture soon after: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/family_in_front_of_sentry.jpg[/t] That floor, and many of the floors underneath were designed by the level designers in Hammer. Speaking of floors, Valve has five floors in the entire building. To avoid using the elevator, they did all the legal work (i.e. abiding by fire code) to build a staircase that only goes between the five floors in the building. It ensures anyone that's in doesn't have to keep using a keycard to get between floors. On this floor, I saw someone hauling a desk around, and Fletcher told us that every single desk within the facility has wheels specifically to cater to their non-hierarchy workflow. As some of you know, everyone works within groups called "cabals", and they are free to move to and from cabals as they are needed. People routinely get up and push their desks full of wiring, computers, paperwork and all kinds of other stuff between cabals either to help, for help, to collaborate, and to look super cool in front of people like me. Want to see the TF2 cabal? [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/gatoraidboi_looking_at_hats.jpg[/t] Well, here's the outside of it. I was unfortunately not allowed to look at people working on stuff, and I was very hesitant to take very many pictures because I'm simply an impromptu tourist. When peering in though, it honestly just looked like people working at their desks just as you'd see in video pieces about the company. It's nothing crazy to look at. Actually, for the most part, a lot of the places within Valve aren't necessarily eye-catchers. It's a bunch of empty rooms that are constantly repurposed for make-shift cabals and what not. Even weirder, my mom and I were questioning exactly how many people work at Valve, because it was very empty. Some were admittedly out to lunch, but it was almost... eerie? The only rooms I wish I had taken a picture of is the mixing room (which seems like a cross between a home entertainment system on steroids and your worst nightmares seeing as it's incredibly dead quiet) and the cafeteria. Their cafeteria knocks the socks off of all of your cafeterias. No cafeteria will match. Imagine walking into a store full of the kinds of fridges you'd see in those stores, and in stock were all of the great products your stomach knows and loves. Except it's free. You grab whatever you want. No price tags. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/7th_floor_coat_hangers.jpg[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/965202/Visiting%20Valve/sentry_opposite_corner.jpg[/t] All of the employees have personal trainers and are given personal exercise plans to make sure they're not sitting at a computer all day while forming their spines into the shape of a chair. I saw a few people passing medicine balls around in a bunch of sweats just outside of the staircase, where the names of at least three trainers were printed. Speaking of oddities, Valve regularly delivers a bunch of different cuisines from a bunch of different nationalities straight to the support office, where there's a small team of people from places like Germany and Russia. The reasoning for the availability of all kinds of food (junk or not) and the trainers is simply because Gabe doesn't want people walking for half a mile to get a good meal or to get a good work in. He wants the workplace to be a lifestyle and a collaboration between a bunch of cool people. At Valve you basically decide your own stress, almost. It's craziness and I love it.
I want this new dance taunt so bad. I can't justify spending 12 dollars on it to myself though The waiting game is not a fun game to play :v:

Wait, do existing Stranges not get the kill-counter attachment on the model? Is it only for decorated ones? That's lame.
Does it have a sheen in game?
nothing, doesnt count killstreaks and doesnt shine, just special text

What console command controls the stuff on the walls? I put it vaguely because I'm not sure what they're called, but I mean calendars, posters, etc. I'm missing them and I'm pretty sure it's the config files I downloaded. The thing that I don't understand is that this config was supposed to be max quality but it disables quite a few things. Anyways yeah, how do I enable decals or whatever? [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/687146362857454110/048DD02362D7EEAAE1BD5DAD03177B41E92A105C/[/t] Got screenshots to help. This is supposed to have a target and there's some calendars missing.
In a week anyone feel like trading me a Gun Mettle Campaign Pass for 2 keys? I forgot to buy it when I had the chance and now I'm stuck with the keys.
