Minimal Wear seems to be the sweet spot for me for most of these weapons.

Probably my main priorities on what to get in a contract is to get any decorated stock rocket launcher.
I never really liked the stock colours in the stock rocket launcher.

Yo, I have a field tested one and not really gonna use it since I don't play TF2 at all. Sent you an invite so I can trade it to you.
Basically every one of TF2's weapons has at least a little wear on it. Seeing a gun so... perfect is really offputting.

I think Factory New still has some wear on it.
I'm kinda sad that all the colours are paint. I wanted to see things as different kinds of metal. Like that shotgun's yellow receiver, I wanted that to be brass and to look more like tarnished brass the more it got to well-worn. Not just have more edge wear and scratches.

I wouldn't use that shotgun skin as an example, It looks like a redwood and brass finish without the paint scraped off. That rocket launcher that looks like it's covered in wood chips would make a better example.
There must be something seriously wrong with the Valve servers. I live in Sweden and absolutely no Stockholm servers appear for me, only Washington and Luxemburg.
Whenever me and my friend tries to join eachother through the steam interface the server refuses to respond. The only way for us to actually join the same server is if we both hand-pick the same one.
For example, I help my friend with his Snowplow contract because there are no Stockholm servers for me and there are only Stockholm servers for him.

I'm kind of sad they're almost exclusively hideous. And the ones that aren't and that actually fit into the art style of the game are intended to be the least valuable.
I've never even been a part of the "wow valve ur ruining the art style" but now I am. It's like they have skinning competitions at Valve to see who can ride the "believable but hideous" line the hardest, like they want to see how ugly they can make their $3000 skin and still watch people seek it.

It's a nice sweet spot between cheap(-er than factory new) and also not "can barely make it out" (Battle Scarred).
I have one myself and it's one of my favorites decorated weapons in the entire game.

The War Room looks like they just ripped the texture from the blocked off area inside Toufort's intel room.
the scratches look like total garbage, especially on the flamethrower
it's just giant gray bar spam all over illogical spots
The best part about having some wear on the weapons are the bloodstains
The nature of the contracts being buy-in and the specific map contracts means the gun mettle servers are mostly filled with pubstompers.

You can edit the vmt to make the sheens work with cosmetics
It seems like the Civic Duty shotgun (the one posted above) is the most popular from what I've seen. It's my favorite too.
I thought the next comic issue was out but I realized I haven't read the gun mettle comic yet. :v:
I really feel like the cases should always give a strange version of the skinned weapon. It's already an uncommon drop and you have to buy a key to open it.

I feel the same about my Flash Fryer. I miss having strange parts. It's a pity the strange version is so damn expensive at the moment. I honestly don't see it coming down to 'acceptable' levels until at least a couple of months worth of uncrating.
The strange Aqua Marine rocket launcher was about $7 when I looked at it the other day, now it's $16 for the cheapest one :suicide:

Google "users in this screenshot: <yourcurrentsteamname>" and see if that works. Last time i checked it gave results from 2013 and older.

It's also an option if you go to Activity > Friend Activity Settings. There's an option at the very bottom that says "When I am in someone's screenshot".
Of course you also have to uncheck everything else if you only want to see screenshots people have taken of you, so Metaru's method is probably way better.
