I'm not seeing the problem. If everything deflates in price it just makes it easier to obtain stuff. The only people this should effect are the guys who buy and wear cosmetics based on how much they're worth.
If you want to make some sick cash, 1 hour after the new contracts have been released, buy a case, then wait 8 hours and sell it again.
You wont make a living out of that extra pocket money but it's certainly something.

No, if everything deflated in value, the people it would affect the least are the people with hordes of metal. The guys that just trade around hats would lose value universally.
But my BP is rising sharply today so I don't know what's happening.
Most hats are obtained through random drops though, right? It's stuff that's tied to keys, like unusuals and stranges, that would lose value.
People quicksell keys to get off a sinking ship that wasn't really sinking in the first place when key prices change. It will go back up when people come back to their broken senses and/or when the scalpers come and buy up all the cheap keys and list them back for higher prices.
Or there might be a rare chance that it will go down permanently, but I doubt it.
Remember when peopled rained shit on the spreadsheet because the owner manipulated the prices to make a profit?
Key prices are probably falling due to case key hype for when they're tradeable (especially since the crate prices are still pretty steep - although falling).
Off topic: I do wish VALVe allowed us to 'inspect' our Austrailiums as we can skinned weapons. I'd see the point if the skinned weapons were drastically different, but they're just stock models with a change of colour. Aussies aren't any different in that retrospect.
Anyone up for emailing VALVe (haven't got the email address)?

I want to tell you guys about something that I've been thinking since I came back to TF2 after EOTL happened. It's about a server that I've felt very loved with the community that had custom maps and various custom plugins and I had a lot of fun past years during my lifetime in TF2.
A server that I was very fond of that I used up to play since mid-2012 ended in October 2013 due Halloween Update that broke a lot of plugins for the server and the owner gave up on maintaining it due overwhelming requests when the server was going to be fixed. Until later on November 2013, players that were on the server decided to carry on the server's will, but it didn't last long until November 2014 due not having enough players in the server, so what was the point to maintain the server really? It went down until March 2015, another player of both pasts servers announced that he was trying to revive our beloved TF2 server with a grand opening. It was running fantastic in the beginning but it appeared to me that lately it was suffering the same fate from the past server that was being maintained until an update broke the server almost in the end of June this year and there's no news about it since.
The same community that tried to keep reviving the server these past two years, a few players split up focus from TF2 to focus on Dota 2 or other games. I've seen also people from other communities in various different servers losing their beloved favorite spot to play their beloved game.
This was the first that happened to me and I came to a realization that...
...sadly nothing lasts forever.
[sp](Why I typed this? I don't know. I just know that I cannot fully enjoy TF2 as before.)[/sp]

I remember playing on Snack Shack a lot a reaaallly long time ago, it was a good server.
Is there any benefit to getting bonus CP or is that just for your coin CP count? Doesn't seem like it affects anything.
I've stopped playing the game months ago but these little contracts have me loading the game like once or twice a week to play for a little bit. It did one thing right at least, but it still feels samey to me. I can't believe I would play this for multiple hours a day.

Just more points toward the coin. That's all.

So does anyone think crate prices are gonna rise more? I'm kind of wanting to buy some and then sell later but I'm afraid they won't go up any more.

More crates will flood in, so probably they'll rise and stabilize a bit.
Though the $7+ prices will be no more.

but nobody's leveled up the coin yet how would we know

I've watched them all day today and they fall considerably, climb up a bit and fall lower than the lowest point before climbing again.
Watch the graph to see the lowest price it's sold for today (you can click + drag a small box over the area you want and it zooms in) and see if it comes close - then buy it.
I bought 2 Powerhouse crates that way today - both for £2.55.

Well, it'll level up every 1000 points - and through personal testing, doing the "Bonus CP" does nothing for drops. I experimented 4 times: - twice without doing the bonus and twice with the bonus.
Regardless of what I did - I always got crappy skins (Civilian grade) for completing the bonus CP and without it, with one exception being a powerhouse crate when doing the bonus CP but I believe that to just be RNG.

It's RNG. Last week I did the bonuses and got civilian stuff and this week didn't do the bonus (not good at headshots and I'm not playing Powerhouse to victory twice) and got a crate and a good sniper (sold for about $2.50 when it did sell). It's just bonus CP to add to your coin.
I can't join in on the kick taunt as a sniper, because whenever I do, he just stands and walks slowly instead. And he smiles like an utter idiot.

This happened to me too once with the conga taunt
No idea why and how I fixed it

in any way
Good, there's no reason an unlimited resources should inflate in price.
It's not keys that are inflating, it's refined metal that has pretty much no value.
Why should I spend 4 refined to craft a hat when I can spend 1 refined and buy the hat I want?
If you give refined some value back, it wouldn't cost 18 of them for a key, and then everything that cost refined or makes it, will have a higher value whilst what determines the actual money cost of items stays the same. (IE the most you'll ever pay is 2.50 for a key, from the store and therefore you would never pay higher than that unless you're being ripped.)
Keys will rise naturally as refined gets more and more redundant, the only way keys really fall is either a lot of people playing the market in a vain attempt (I say vain because you cannot do this unless you have an unlimited supply of keys to maintain your price set to the point of standardization) or by glitches or bugs that devalue the keys, or popular currency items.
-nvm-
