it was always worthless
Is the duck journal worthless now? Or does it still rank up?
If it isn't worthless it deserves to be worthless
I mean, it was already worthless..
Not sure if late here, but UltimotePictures (sky fortress team member) died about three months ago and someone on YouTube just revealed to everyone yesterday:

It doesn't rank up, but it's a badge that fits in the Action Item slot, which also doubles as an infinite noisemaker. It makes duck noises, go figure.

its been a few days since it's been uploaded but tf2 is confirmed controller-friendly
This is very much unlike my experience, I could barely get any kills as Heavy. Actually, literally the only kills I got were those two unfortunate friendly medics.
Then again my sensitivity was super low/I'm used to playing at super high mouse sensitivity.

I can't help but notice in so many instances he could have done three times better with mouse just by the lack of skill on the other team. Although I can understand, getting tons of kills does make a better video.
Just seeing the clearly necessary unusual in the thumbnail.
Mmmh.
I don't know, I've grown some kind of disgust towards people that have to shove their TF2 valuables into every single thing they produce.
This, and I don't like the artificial commentary this guy uses. It sounds so produced and forced. At least Star sounds like he isn't trying to be someone else. I'm sure Muselk is a nice guy, but his channel just ain't my cup of tea.

i think muselk is absolutely obnoxious, his commentary tries to sound professional but he cant keep a sentence going well and he tries to be cool where it makes him just sound dumb.
that being said that video still taught me something
I stopped watching Muselk when he got big enough to get top comment on every TF2 video known to man, just for the subs.
Got so annoying.
I feel like there's no room for mediocre players like me.
Only room for comp players and noobs.

I still remember about improving my skills once I got a new build, but by the time I got one, I lost interest.
[editline]28th January 2015[/editline]
I have to admit, my skill consists of talking too much, complaining and getting angry at things, and I'm doing a brilliant job at it.
Past me: Replacing the Phlog particles! I can do that!
Present: What does everything means!
It seems really fun to read the wikis and explore the forum post, finally something to kill my spare time.

You just gotta find the right server. make up your own games. Go vaccinator medic and keep one specific person alive at all times. See how long you can walk among the enemy as a spy without killing anyone or being spotted. Just don't take anything seriously.
Hope that Greece isn't going to be Free to Play.

Seems like my TF2 doesn't like winter maps no more.
And I don't even know what the hell might be causing it.

What is the pyro these days? It's worse than the heavy at ambushing, worse than the soldier and scout at DM, worse than demo at group damage, worse than engi and medic at keeping the team alive, and worse than spy, sniper, and soldier at picks. What it does do is annoy everyone with stunlock, annoy spies with afterburn, and annoy soldiers with reflects, without any of those abilities actually having a large effect on how the game plays out. The pyro's role in TF2 is to annoy everyone. It's like if they added a mosquito class to the game. It doesn't do anything, it just annoys.
This is why I like the phlog. It gives the pyro a role. It makes pyro the ambush class. It's allows you to demolish groups with crits, at the cost of serious vulnerability if the enemy catches you with your pants down. If you don't position yourself optimally to deal the most damage to the most people, or if you're unaware of where the enemies are moving and pop when somebody is nearby, your crits are going to be wasted and you're almost certainly going to die. It's all about tactics. That's what the pyro should have been all along. A vulnerable class about stealth, positioning, tactics, and wiping out groups of enemies with fire.

I don't know about you, but I enjoy being the "annoying" archetype. Unlike many pyros that force stunlock, I try to not get as close. I use airblast to keep enemies away from me (and to reflect projectiles or stunlock uber) while they burn from scorch shot fire damage. If they get really close to me, I pull out the Back Scratcher and they die of ridiculous melee damage. But my main goal is to keep EVERYONE on fire, which incites panic, which makes the other team work much worse.

I'd not hate the phlog if you didn't get 75% damage resistance AND taunt kill resistance when you taunt to activate MMPH. You don't give that shit to the heavy with his foods, so why to the goddamn pyro?

Is this satire? I seriously can't tell.
I see the pyro as the ultimate protector class. Spy checking protects your team against spies (homewrecker is a bonus so you can protect buildings against sappers); airblast protects against enemy positioning, uber pushes, explosive projectiles, and allies lit on fire.
The phlog significantly changes your playstyle from 'the protector' to 'the ambusher', which I feel is what the class was originally designed to do but did it terribly with other weapons. I think the damage protection from mmph is designed to be for area denial, so you can show the world "HEY EVERYONE I HAVE CRITS AND I'M ABOUT TO BURN YOU ALL" and we can't be all like "psh whatevs here have a couple meatshots and now you're dead".

You eat the sandvich behind your own front lines so you can heal up.
You activate the phlog near or behind the enemies front line to kill people.
Comparing them because they're both taunts that do something is pretty dumb.
