so ppl,i wonder if it's a good idea to make stock cosmetics like There are cosmetic that we have to drop and some that are default. It would be reaaally cool, because most cosmetic of tf2 are not even used,i would like to have some as default for the new player aswell. It would also STOP PEOPLE insulting gibus F2P,right ?
It would also STOP PEOPLE insulting gibus F2P,right ?
no
Crossposting from the Steam General Thread out of desperation here, hoping someone has any idea how to remedy this.
Wasn't there a Steam update with something like "fixed performance issues when attempting to download older workshop files" like a day ago? I assume you've tried after that though [editline]woop[/editline] Found it, steam beta apparently. You should try it if you haven't already.
no
But .. i mean, they would not have to wear gibus anymore,it wouldnt be their default hat anymore, there would be like .. 10 cosmetic item per class ! or 5..?
With my luck i could make this my job
If I put an item that's not tradable for a week into a fabricator it's not going to make the resulting kit permanently untradeable, right?
I became a non-F2P guy. Yay..
If I put an item that's not tradable for a week into a fabricator it's not going to make the resulting kit permanently untradeable, right?

So I bought a professional beggar's bazooka fabricator kit, completed it, and now it's totally untradeable nor marketable, even though I didn't use any untradable weapons in the recipe and it seems like it will be permanent. What do I do now? Should I contact steam support? Cause I don't want to lose that much money just for another stupid bug.
According that you're not victim of an outrageous bug.
do people usually bind crouch + jump together or hit those buttons at the same time?
do people usually bind crouch + jump together or hit those buttons at the same time?
I hit mine at the same time. Sometimes it feels like you need to variate the timing a little.
So today I've tried to play Team Fortress 2 again after months of absence and I'd lie if I'd say it wasn't to test the Gun Mettle gameplay changes (and nothing else, since, and let's not start another debate about this, I've grown to hate what this update means for the future of TF2 and in-game events in particular) First of all, a question: is there a way to disable your teammates silouettes during the respawn's wait? It hits my eyes as a very sore sights and display to me info I don't need to have Since my class of choice has always been the spy, I tested out some new loadouts The Big Earner is insanely entertaining now and, if you are quick on the response, allows you to play a Batman spy. I'd definitely use it if I didn't grow an habit with the YER (I'm literarly not able to pick up a disguise with the case anymore, and I'm dead fucking serious) While I used the Enforcer in the past, it has suffered a well deserved nerf if I got it right: having a bonus damage only while disguised makes sure the player doesn't relay on it as a desperate weapon, which kinds of destroy its utility, as far as my style of playing is concerned (I only use my revolver when I'm being discovered and want to try to go all in on my enemies) The cloack meter not refilling itself by collecting ammo boxes and weapons is a serious change in the spy general gameplay if you are using the default watch, since you are pretty much forced to use your invisibility more sparingly All in all, it's a small breath of fresh air, not bad
The cloak meter not refilling itself by collecting ammo boxes and weapons is a serious change in the spy general gameplay if you are using the default watch, since you are pretty much forced to use your invisibility more sparingly
The above change is only for the Dead Ringer's cloak, stock IW still refills and extends its cloak by picking up ammo packs while invisible. Also, the Cloak and Dagger can now fill its cloak via ammo packs, but only while visible. Personally, I can't see why the DR, with the big nerfs to its tanking abilities, isn't allowed to extend its cloak through ammo pickups anymore. Sure, you get the little extra speed upon feigning death, but it's a bit hard to expect people to be stealthy and sneaky with such a limited invisibility time, loud decloaks, broken disguises with missing bodyparts, and feigned deaths + ragdolls being so unconvincing and easy to tell for experienced players. And of course, dropped weapons aren't sources of ammo or metal anymore, they're just there for other people of the right class to pick up. To make up for it, players now drop a medium-sized ammo pack upon death, besides their weapon.

Sometimes it feels like you need to variate the timing a little.
When crouch jumping, you want to hold crouch towards the end of your jump. If you're talking about rocket jumping, it's really similar. I'd host a server and practice it a bit, a little bit of lab time never hurt anyone.
vac only detects cheats which involving modifying executable files, or the .dll's so any cheat based on modifying textures or particles isn't really a cheat, valve wouldnt punish anyone for it they would just make the texture/file unmoddable on sv_pure 1
tbh it's disheartening to think that there would be people who make textures for bright green players and pitch black environment so they stand out like a sore thumb but then again I'm pretty inclined to believe that barely anyone, if nobody; actually does that
I've just realised VALVe have broken "Mute in-game voice". Just had a mic spammer and trying to mute him did not work. Thanks VALVe :v:
Did voice_enable 0 not work?
You should use voice_modenable instead of voice_enable. You can toggle it on and off without having to disconnect/reconnect every time.
Did voice_enable 0 not work?
I never tried it at the time. Turning down the "voice receive" to 0 didn't work either.
Yay, Eric replied and he'd "forward your email to someone who knows the Workshop code better than I do. "
This has started happening to me but with Skyrim, and only after the latest Steam update (which shows you disk usage as a green line etc). It's constantly downloading 0 bytes and I can't stop it (it thinks it's still downloading, but has a "play button" so I can't pause it). Sorry I can't be any more help with it. Thought I'd let you know you're not the only one suffering from this, although on a different game and it's because of the latest update.
While I'm happy to know that I'm not alone, this also pains me that others are going through what I'm going through. I only hope it's not lagging your game like it is mine. At the time of posting this, it seems to have worked with the constant "downloading" issue. However, it still keeps downloading something on startup as seen here. [t]http://puu.sh/j9gQg/469f27b6ac.png[/t] Ontop of that, my console is also still littered with these errors: [t]http://puu.sh/j9h1T/cf14852311.png[/t] All of those are, infact, deleted workshop maps. So I believe the problem lies with the fact the workshop files are no longer on the Workshop database.
I think that Medic needs a weapon that doesn't use projectiles. Just for self-defence. Syringe gun is good, but it's really hard to land a hit with it. Crossbow? Really hard to land a hit, too. If it's a projectile, at least it should push away the enemy. Just my random point of view.
hud_combattext_batching 1
Oh good, I was wondering. Now how do I make that default without having to input the command every time I start up the game?
Oh good, I was wondering. Now how do I make that default without having to input the command every time I start up the game?
Same with any other command, put it in autoexec.cfg in your cfg folder.
Why are engineers so fucking annoying on Powerhouse?
Speaking of Powerhouse, is there a damn reason that's the only map played on Gun Mettle Valve servers? Every vote to change it fails each time
Is it just me or the mp_usehwmmodels 1 and mp_usehwmvcds 1 commands don't work?

so a friend of mine asked me to help him with his medic contract it took all of 1 round to get done, bonus included
Do the bonus points do anything other than contribute to the coin?
