so a friend of mine asked me to help him with his medic contract it took all of 1 round to get done, bonus included
10 points for killing someone attempting to cap a point. 20 points for winning. My last contract was the easiest I've had yet.
I had a demoman contract and a kill contract. I must have been on at a time when all the kiddies were since all I did was put a few stickies on the cart, watch people want onto them and blow them up. It was Borneo so maybe they were all trying to get the "cap a point" objective, but almost everyone just flat out ignored the bloody bombs. Easiest two contracts.
What are some good commands to put in my autoexec?

Worked for me. edit nvm doesn't work for photo badges
What are some good commands to put in my autoexec?
Depends on what you're looking for. If your computer and internet are not crap you can use these: cl_burninggibs 1 cl_new_impact_effects 1 r_lod 0 cl_timeout 0

Welp, either I' m looking in the wrong place or something happened, but I do not seem to have an autoexec file. :suicide:
Welp, either I' m looking in the wrong place or something happened, but I do not seem to have an autoexec file. :suicide:
Just make a text file and save it as autoexec.cfg in the cfg folder
Just make a text file and save it as autoexec.cfg in the cfg folder
Has to be in the my_custom_stuff folder too i think
Nope, just needs to be in /cfg/. That's where TF2 looks when you want to exec something.
Ok, that worked, thanks a lot. I didn't realize it was that stupidly easy. But then again, last time I made my own file for a game I totally broke it and had to completely reinstall, lol.
Doesn't VAC only take effect when you join a server? Could be trivial for someone to write a hack to make it accept any items_game
Oh good, I was wondering. Now how do I make that default without having to input the command every time I start up the game?
hud_combattext_batching gets saved to config.cfg, no need to put it into autoexec.cfg.
Has anyone noticed poor performance in TF2 after power cycling your PC? I know it sounds strange, but I power cycled a few days ago and now take serious frame hits anytime I'm near a flaming pyro, like dropping to 30 and below. Beforehand TF2 ran at a solid 60 basically all the time :( This could also be because of strange interactions with new nVidia drivers/Windows 10, but I'm not ruling it out
Doesn't VAC only take effect when you join a server? Could be trivial for someone to write a hack to make it accept any items_game
They could always host their own VAC-less server and run it, but no doubt the game would detect something's up if you close TF2 to see if it 'stuck' and would revert what you did. Even if you didn't want to see if it 'stuck' or not, you'd probably want to close TF2 to make sure the hack was no longer hooked onto the game's exe before joining a VAC enabled server.
isnt like you cant just pump a random new account if you get vac banned anyway. the only person stupid enough to run lmaobox on their main account and get vac banned in the process was the creator of lmaobox itself.

Never underestimate how stupid people can be.

I don't remember the exact details and I forgot to screenshot some of his responses on r/tf2, but the guy, besides making money from selling his cheats, actually has some sort of personal, ego-driven vendetta against Valve because his main, cheat-using account got banned. He stated in multiple responses (while clearly vainly enjoying the attention) that not only is he in it for the monies, he actually takes enjoyment from knowing that his hacks keep shitting up the game and many of the game's servers. You'd also expect the guy to lie low and just do his work in privacy, never exposing himself to much. But nope, had accounts on several TF2 forums just taunting folks and bragging. It's just the impression I got of him, a talented programmer that could've put their skills to actual good use, but nope, gotta have a massive ego, keep tormenting and screwing up the general playerbase, and hold a grudge towards Valve for proving his arrogance and vanity a bit too great and banning an account of his with lots of valuable stuff. Just an utter douche, it seems. [editline]24th July 2015[/editline]
I've seen people with unusuals and australiums using LMAO box and at least one of them got VAC banned. Never underestimate how stupid people can be.
I'd say being arrogant is more like it, they take it they're untouchable, and while I'm sure the Premium version of lmaobox is undetected, they likely get too cocky with other stuff. I really wish Valve would start banning at least the most obvious, blatant, and publicly-on-display offenders, like that maxbox guy. won't solve VAC's shortcomings, but it'll at least make an example.
For a while, I've been using Steam's built-in Web browser (in Big Picture mode) to log into and use trading sites like scrap.tf, tidy.tf, and backpack.tf while avoiding the annoying ''we see you've logged into from a new device, gotta wait 7 days to trade'' limitation that keeps happening when I'm trying to log into Steam through Chrome and other browsers (seems like the system never remembers the 2 PCs I'm always using and treats them as new devices every time, triggering Steam Guard). I'm kinda worried whether the Steam Browser, being a relatively slow and awkward thing, has potential security vulnerabilites that normal browsers don't have. Like I said, I use the Steam web browser only for the above few sites, but I always got a bad feeling using a browser that wasn't really built by a software company that has experience with browser security and potential exploits. Any experiences/opinions on the matter?
Isn't the steam browser basically just chrome? [editline]24th July 2015[/editline] yeah it is [T]http://www.catpanic.eu/upl/2015-07-24_13-46-59.png[/T]
Wouldn't know, googling stuff I've found that the SteamOS's web browser is supposedly Firefox in disguise. Whether that means that the built-in web browser in Steam on a Windows PC is also just a variation of Firefox, I dunno. edit: I guess so, hopefully the thing is updated together with the Steam client updates?

So nospread and silent aim (shooting at people without it looking like you did) were fixed, which cripples lmaobox. Fuck yeah.
So nospread and silent aim (shooting at people without it looking like you did) were fixed, which cripples lmaobox. Fuck yeah.
So that means that a LMAOBOX Heavy shooting at someone across the map will just go typical chip damage rather than simulating point blank like it did before?
