It has the kill taunt, so it IS a direct upgrade. Mechanically, at least.
That's very situational, I'd call it a sidegrade at most.
That's very situational, I'd call it a sidegrade at most.
That's like arguing that the old Amputator was a sidegrade. "You have to taunt, that means it's situational" No, it literally means that it's Bonesaw+. There's no obligation to taunt, it's just an additional tool at zero tradeoff.

You are giving away any kind of your own defense for something that MIGHT pay off. Or could easily mean your death as anyone with bit of brain will prioritize the one in middle of pre set animation with zero ability to fight back.

Though your zero tradeoff statement doesnt seem quite true. You stand still for an extended period of time (isnt the armageddon taunt one of the longest in the game?) with your only defense being an instakill after whenever on everything dumb enough to stand near you. Though you are sort of right about the "better than nothing thing" since if someone with the stock flamethrower taunts they have 0% chance to get a kill unlike the rainblower. As i said, Its a pretty negligible gain that's offset by pyrovision.

You gain nothing by passing it up, but there's a chance that you get something out of it. There's literally zero tradeoff, you just get a free opportunity to get a return on something you never paid for. I don't care how situational it is, the fact remains that it's plain better than having a 0% chance.
Because Pyroland drops your fps and no one feels like wasting time to remove the maps that supports pyromania from the txt file (I think)
Wasting time? Pressing ctrl+a, delete and ctrl+s is literally all you have to do to disable the map effects
I used the Rainblower for like three minutes then immediately switched back to stock. I couldn't fucking tell what I was hitting with the rainbow crap.
first time i actually laid eyes upon weapons allowed/banned what a joke
solemn vow and scorch shot are banned but third degree isn't what a joke
first time i actually laid eyes upon weapons allowed/banned what a joke
How is it a joke
Huh. The Dead Ringer and Spycicle are both banned. Interesting. Well, that makes pyros more viable at least
solemn vow and scorch shot are banned but third degree isn't what a joke
vow : tell everyone the enemy medic has 50 hp left from a mile away by literally doing nothing and by giving up nothing scorch : set shit up on fire with zero effort spam (even by shooting walls) and push back ubers with the force worth two stickies from safe range third degree : you die
Huh. Spycicle is still a straight upgrade.
first time i actually laid eyes upon weapons allowed/banned what a joke
I want to see a tournament in which Degreaser is banned but I guess it's never going to happen.
I think it's pretty funny that they banned the Cleaner's Carbine
Sandvich is banned.
So a few days back, I just went to join a pub koth_viaduct and went spy. On my way, I noticed the killfeed and how it said a name "Rapid 000" (he was a Sniper that moment). Now me, being a TF2 nerd, recognized that name, but I started to have my doubts of how official that person is. But the server seems to act like he's real so I did too. I was able to backstab him, but I also backstabbed his Medic who goes by the name "ScottJAw". This sorta got me excited to meet them, but once again, I wasn't so sure about their authenticity. Still though, they seem to have the same avatars, the server seems to act like they're real, and they don't really seem like posers, so you could say I started to believe that they're the real duo. To be honest, I never found out if they were really them or just posers, but if they were real then that day is one of my greatest days in TF2. Other than meeting people wielding Saxxys, Golden Frying Pans, Hat of Undeniable Wealth, Premievial Warrior, etc.
I was about to 1v1 b4nny in mge, but he DCd before i could fight him thank god, because i actually dont want to

There is a trade off: standing on one place like an idiot until the animations ends, until then, everyone are invited to shoot your face off. You might not pay for the lottery ticket but to turn it in, you have to stand in the middle of shooting range with a bull's eye spray painted on your face. If you call that "zero tradeoff" then I pity the one who's gonna do your embalming when you show up on his table with a bloody potato salad for a face.
solemn vow and scorch shot are banned but third degree isn't what a joke
The Panic Attack is banned. Whew, that absolute monstrous powerhouse of a weapon was a terror to all. [editline]10th August 2015[/editline] The Rescue Ranger and Wrangler are banned. What a crock, as if sentries weren't already hilariously easy to destroy.

With ampy, you get something, a heal aura around you. With bonesaw, all you get is diddly dick.
I think it's pretty funny that they banned the Cleaner's Carbine
at this point the only excuse left is "europe"
Spycicle is a straight upgrade? That fireproof bubble is pretty telling.
It no longer shows up while you're cloaked.

Simply put, the Heal Aura has a trade off as any taunt kill/taunt based action and it baffles me that people thinks that standing on one place for several seconds is not a downside.

[sp]Not bonesaw[/sp]
What can heal an entire team in a few seconds while giving the healer a slight boost in self-healing? [sp]Not bonesaw[/sp]
A quickfix uber?
What can heal an entire team in a few seconds while giving the healer a slight boost in self-healing? [sp]Not bonesaw[/sp]
It also makes you a great pick target which is something you don't want to do as a Medic. I mean, give them that kill for free, why wouldn't you. In the end, Amputator is useless since there's pretty much a never a reason to use it to heal over a medigun. If you really want to be able to heal quickly that badly, well, there's a Quickfix.
