I don't know what makes you think about it like that. I just say gg before the end of match (whether we cap or the time runs out) just to get it out the way. Then again, I don't play mge, never have, really (my skills are good, but not THAT good); I'm more of a pub player. Saying GG in mge sure must mean something different to you fellows.

It's a respect thing. When I said it, I said it before I reached the 20th frag. Even though it was accidental on the 19th frag when i said it, it made me come off as a rude player with a bad attitude and inflated ego. It's different when you're in a pub match, because your team is pushing and you're basically asking to win with all of those people on the kart or on the point. In MGE, its just you and your opponent, 1v1. Pure skill vs pure skill. Saying gg like that is basically a put down to your opponent, and i could imagine how that guy felt after I won. I don't want to become a VXIOW
Medieval mode isn't that bad, just dropped by Valve before it should have been.
When I was still actively playing TF2 I liked playing medieval from time to time, but it got one sided usually so it wasn't that much of a fun.
Did I miss the memo on an Eternaween bug? For every vote passed, it never seems to be consumed for me afterwards.
When I was still actively playing TF2 I liked playing medieval from time to time, but it got one sided usually so it wasn't that much of a fun.
While Medieval wasn't ever very well balanced (Engie's been pointless garbage since the beginning, some other classes like Soldier are questionable as well), the mode's biggest problem has always been the dominance of Huntsman Snipers and Demoknights. And while Huntsmen are just really tiresome in large numbers (especially when the castle entrance chokepoint leading to C opens up), Demoknights in Medieval have just continued to rise and rise in power with every unlock for the past 4 years. Initially, when the mode came out, you only had manageable, Targe + Eyelander/Claid- using Demoknights with only 150 or 160 hp, no random crits, no charging turn control, and a shield with almost completely useless resistance stats and low shield bash damage. There were no Booties for extra health or move speed either, so the primary slot was useless as well. Over the years, Demoknights have received shields with either extra bash damage at any range or full turning control, a passive primary that gives them extra HP and now extra speed, melees that hugely increase their charging frequency or give them back charge or allow them to heal themselves up to full health with every kill and just plow through whole groups with random crits... Of course, it's a joke gamemode, but 200-health, full-charge-control, Medic-speed Zatoichi Demoknights that fully restore health and gain back charge with each melee kill really kill the mode for me. It's quite absurd, and Medieval would be way more fun and balanced if most of the Demoknight items bar the original Eyelander+Targe were simply blacklisted there.
Well, Engie is kinda useful for comboing with the Gunslinger or bleed with the Southern Hospitality, and Soldier is secretly godlike with the banners. But yeah, it's an unbalanced joke gamemode. EDIT: I fear the day someone asks me what my favourite class is. I'm afraid I will not know the answer. [t]http://i.imgur.com/r918Q3c.jpg[/t] [sp]this isn't entirely accurate since i reset my stats about a year ago due to a bunch of silly stuff from servers with sv_cheats 1; Engineer and Medic would still probably be tied in both points and playtime but I think overall I've played more Pyro and Heavy than Sniper, and more Soldier and Demoman than Scout[/sp]
Engie was hilarious in Medieval mode when the stored crit glitch was at it's prime.
Engie was hilarious in Medieval mode when the stored crit glitch was at it's prime.
To be honest, I've been playing Medieval mode for quite a long time and have never seen an engie using a stored crit glitch on neither me nor me allies but it may be just my luck.
To be honest, I've been playing Medieval mode for quite a long time and have never seen an engie using a stored crit glitch on neither me nor me allies but it may be just my luck.
It was "fixed" a while ago. And by fixed I mean you can still store hits on enemies but you can't do the easy "hit an ally twice to get a free crit".
I wish I could wear this as a badge.
Didn't Abraham Lincoln die in the TF2 universe after he rocket jumped too hard since stairs had yet to be invented?
"I love arena mode." Sure you do, Valve.
I've been combining the frontier justice with the jag and it's almost downright broken. You can easily get 20-30 revenge crits.
Didn't Abraham Lincoln die in the TF2 universe after he rocket jumped too hard since stairs had yet to be invented?

The Engineer Update states Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John "Tower of Hats" Booth, although the WAR! Update attributes his death to rocket-jumping up stairs.
-snip- It fixed itself.
My gun mettle coin score is at 1995, and I finished my last contract like just now. From here on in, if I complete all contracts with only 100CP each, will I still get the gold coin before the event ends? Edit: Or do I have to get at least one 130CP one in there?
There is still a good 1200 points left not counting bonuses, you'll be fine.
When will Valve make merchandise out of these coins? I'd totally buy one.
When will Valve make merchandise out of these coins? I'd totally buy one.
What if you had to do contracts in real life to get them?
Didn't Abraham Lincoln die in the TF2 universe after he rocket jumped too hard since stairs had yet to be invented?
But isn't Abraham Lincoln canonically the original Pyro?
Tried the new gamemode. It's just scouts.
I just unboxed this and i didn't know it's a rare quality item. neat.
Tried the new gamemode. It's just scouts.
He is a sports guy.
But isn't Abraham Lincoln canonically the original Pyro?
Reflect jumps
Tried the new gamemode. It's just scouts.
The upside of this is all you need to do is go soldier and sit at the goal for EZ defense bonus points if you get a kritz pocket medic
New gamemode be like
Tried the new gamemode. It's just scouts.
gunboats soldier works pretty great too you've got decent mobility, you can rocket jump onto rooftops without needing the jump pads, you can blow up the five enemy scouts without much difficulty, and best of all you can actually do something about sentry guns
I like Liberty Launcher and Concherer. You don't have to rely on medics, health packs or getting the ball for health, reduced jump damage is great and that extra rocket is pretty useful for frantic juggling and such.
I'd like to try out a new gamemode before Valve does something with but there aren't any populated community servers that run it and I'm not going to go through the lack of my precious mods on Valve servers.
I can't get over how bad Snowplow is. It's trying to way too hard. The mapping is fantastic, there's many things going on, a train, music etc. It's overcompensating. The map isn't even enjoyable. It's like they knew the map wasn't fun and threw all these gimmicks to make it seem better than it actually is.
