I can't get over how bad Snowplow is. It's trying to way too hard. The mapping is fantastic, there's many things going on, a train, music etc. It's overcompensating. The map isn't even enjoyable. It's like they knew the map wasn't fun and threw all these gimmicks to make it seem better than it actually is.
I thought the music was a cool touch. More maps need music like that imo
I just got off a valve server running the new gamemode, which was full of scouts who clearly didn't play scout often. I sat at our goal with a pocket kritz medic, and I had a Natasha. Kritz + slowing down scouts is perfect for this game mode.
I'm scared to log into my own steam account on the only computer available to me right now, my tablet, and that is absolutely fucking retarded that I should have to feel that. This weeklong trading ban is BEYOND unbelievable.
I thought the music was a cool touch. More maps need music like that imo
The music would be cool if it was both good and fitted the style of the game

This weeklong trading ban is BEYOND unbeleivable.
Last year I have no idea why, but steam now considered the PC I've been using for 4 years a "new" computer, and made me do steam guard. I contacted valve support about it and you know what they did? they "reset" my steamguard again when I only had one day left for the trade ban to go away, thus artificially lengthening my ban for an extra 15 days because they disabled steamguard.
Doesn't the trade ban only apply on the new computer/browser? That's what I've had.
Well I don't exactly KNOW what constitutes a "new computer" to Valve, or even what a new browser is. I've had this Tablet for a year, but who knows if I've used it for emergency trades before. I should be able to log into my account no matter what. There is ALREADY an obnoxious e-mail guard for every single damn trade. If both my e-mail and my steam account are simultaneously compromised then I think the least of my worries will be my TF2 hats. It's such a non-feature.
Didn't Abraham Lincoln die in the TF2 universe after he rocket jumped too hard since stairs had yet to be invented?
Not quite he died rocket jumping up the first ever set of stairs, there's a lot of mixup in the lore but here's the some of the text from the WAR! update page for gunboats.
The 18th century was a time of rapid innovation; in the space of a single year, the two-storey building, the stage play, America, and the rocket launcher were all invented by the same man: Shakespearicles, the strongest writer who ever lived. Despite his powerful grasp of language and the ability to bench press 700 British pounds, several inventions eluded his iron grip—most tragically among them, stairs. For the next three hundred years, people who needed to get to the second floor used the only method available to them: shooting a rocket launcher at their feet. Yes, it was ridiculous, crippling, and awful, but what are you going to do? Not go to the second floor? That’s where your bed is. Luckily, in 1857, a young bearded inventor named President Abraham Lincoln stumbled upon the answer: stairs. Unluckily, he never grasped the full import of his own invention, and died attempting to rocket jump up the world’s first staircase in his laboratory at Ford’s Theater. Horrified by this tragedy, mankind agreed never to invent anything again, turning its many scientists and scholars to that most noble endeavor, astrology.
Stairs were later perfected by FDR in 1921.

(i.e. I can accept trade offers from scrap.tf bots even if I can't do it in-browser because of the ban.) 2. You can turn off the email guard

I have it set to off and I never got the email. I contacted VALVe's support, and they never have contacted me back.
Well then, X-COM 2 releases on November, you know that that means? I will have to make another raffle (probably. dec-jan) to gain more names and give away keys.
I experienced a pretty funny glitch the other day I dont know if anyone has seen this but it basically thinks youre picking up the ball 9000 times a second
Anyone else notice the valve servers fail 95% of the time
Well I don't exactly KNOW what constitutes a "new computer" to Valve, or even what a new browser is. There is ALREADY an obnoxious e-mail guard for every single damn trade. If both my e-mail and my steam account are simultaneously compromised then I think the least of my worries will be my TF2 hats. It's such a non-feature.
As said before, it seems about 6-9 months ago they made some changes to the security system that cause Steam to treat every regular browser as a ''new device'' if you regularly clear your cookies (which I do). This renders logging into trade sites and sending trade offers with normal web browsers unusable because it imposes a week-long ban everytime. I've found a work-around. You gotta log into trading sites like scrap.tf, backpack.tf, Outpost and the like using Steam's built-in web browser - that way, it detects you're already logged into the Steam client and you just need to confirm the prompt that you wanna log using the current client login session - no confirmation code email, no waiting for 1 whole week. One way to access the browser is/was to switch to Big Picture mode, which has a separate Web browser. Problem is, there's currently a bug for many people that makes Big Picture's browser zoomed in too much and it only displays a portion of the whole webpage - pretty much unusable for me currently, as you can't zoom out properly to see the whole page. The other solution is to run a Steam game (like TF2), hit Shift+Tab to bring up the Steam Overlay, and click the ''Web Browser'' option at the bottom of the overlay window. That brings up a new window where you can go to a trade site and log in with you current Steam client login session, send trade invites, respond to them etc. The overlay browser is kinda slow and basic, but it works and is currently the only way to trade normally for those of us that delete cookies regularly and have to deal with this issue. This is just the epitome of the whole Steam Guard system and the recent security changes being implemented in a way that's fucking inconvenient and downright broken as hell for many regular and honest users like us. Technically, a user that isn't aware of Steam's crude built-in browser existing has to either give up trading or never clean their cookies at all, otherwise they're gonna have to deal with a week-long restriction everytime they do. I have to use Steam Overlay's basic, crude, slow-as-hell built-in web browser while running a game in the background to be able to normally trade. Using Chrome, Firefox or other browsers is currenlty screwed due to the system ''forgetting'' both of my PCs and treating them as new devices each time I try to log, while Big Picture's browser, which was a bit more convenient and nice, is currently broken and can't be used for any sort of browsing at all.
Is it just me or is it if a pyro taps you with a flame once it takes away a lot of health? Not afterburn either.
Anyone else notice the valve servers fail 95% of the time
I often am left waiting twenty seconds for it to load servers, then it fails to connect repeatedly.
Someone made a TF2 on GldSrc mod. http://www.moddb.com/mods/chicken-fortress-3
Do you guys think it'd be more beneficial to sell my Australium Knife on the Market, or sell it for keys, then sell those on the market? I feel like the latter would be better, since Valve takes a huge cut from how much I get from market items.
Isn't it a percentage of total sale price, though? Wouldn't that mean you're paying Valve the same amount either way?
Those would be literally identical. Your choice is really take a 15% cut on steam wallet, or sell for keys and brave the trading system.
What really annoys me is how people beg and plead for Valve to add Snowplow for six months and then when it gets added they whine and complain about how terrible the map is.
What really annoys me is how people beg and plead for Valve to add Snowplow for six months and then when it gets added they whine and complain about how terrible the map is.
Most of the people who begged for it have never played it before.

Why is there a 7 day embargo on trading after buying an item on the store This is why WH is dead
Speaking of dead. Whatever became of Bazaar.tf? Is that still around? Did it ever get out of the "People don't use it because there's not enough people using it" paradox?
Why is there a 7 day embargo on trading after buying an item on the store This is why WH is dead
Because appereantly people were getting scammed or something like that. Which annoys me cuz thanks to those stupid people, i need to suffer staring at my 12 Gun Mettle keys and try to not use them on cases i get.

I still can't even get Valve's support team to send my email for trade requests.
Speaking of dead. Whatever became of Bazaar.tf? Is that still around? Did it ever get out of the "People don't use it because there's not enough people using it" paradox?
been doing trades there, i get trade offers every once in a while.
I don't know if anyones seen this glitch before but basically if you load your panic attack in humiliation you're in for a wild ride
