Scamming people for anything, virtual or otherwise, is always pathetic.
I have 3000+ hours in TF2 and I have yet to get an unusual. I got a prof. Killstreak Rocket Launcher kit once, however instead of buying an Unusual I just bought a bunch of normal Killstreak kits for pretty much every class.
The Curse of not having a main and almost playing every class equally..
Hours of play has zero correlation to number of crates opened, so I'm not sure why you mention it.
anyone else having trouble connecting to steam?
I've tried everthing, including reinstalling cause me to lose all my configs

Someone with 7 hours most likely has 0 crates opened whereas someone with 4,000 hours...

It's kinda like how if a person has an unusual, they've probably been playing a while. It doesn't necessarily mean they're good (long time spent playing /= lots of skill), but you can sometimes correlate the two.
I unboxed an unusual on January 1st and it's probably one of my favourites too.
the only unusual i would ever wear is an attendant with the circling tf logo.
anything else is too ugly to be considered anything but currency.
The only unusual I have ever had was from somebody buying my australium Tomislav back when two cities was brand new. He immediately got buyers remorse and I took pity on him.
I would only wear an unusual that actually makes sense. Like, there's no context in which one of the mercs would actually have a TF2 logo circling his head. One might have flies circling the boot on their head, though. Or fire burning on a candle on their head. Those are the ones I would want.
So I can't find the particular trade thread but if anyones actually interested I'm trying to sell a burning heavy duty rag for 90$ and a prof. aust. team shine/incin minigun for 90$ just hmu if you're interested

I remember I used to own a ghosts nappers back in the day. That thing wasn't ugly at all and had a pretty good theme that wasn't reaching.
In my 2000+ hours I have gained 2 prof. kit of sun on a stick and the spy arm. But at least I got an australium medigun and gained 90 bucks with it to buy games that my PC cannot run, at least Skullgirls is fun at 600*480.

oh wow what kind of computer you have, a brick?
I don't why, but the TFC heavy's use of the word kraut in the new comic was really jarring.
I unboxed my first unusual at around 200 hours. Unusual Brown Bomber aces high. Sold it on the market for $200 [sp]I didn't know it at the time but back then it was worth about $400[/sp]
If anyone has keys they don't need to spend anytime soon:
I have keys in my inventory, but they're untradable for a week. I want to gift a game to my friend and I want to buy the game with keys cuz it's cheaper that way. So I wanted to do this:
I give you 3-4 high priced dota items worth the equivalent of 3-4 keys, and I borrow 3 keys, week passes and I give you your keys back plus an extra for your trouble. Anyone interested?
:snip:
I want to read the new comic but my internet is too slow and takes like 5 minutes to load one page ;(

Added.
I spent like entire yesterday playing TF2 as a Sniper until like 2am and then when I went to sleep, I dreamed about playing TF2 as a Sniper.
I think I might have played just little bit too much Sniper. Geez, I actually feel ill from that dream.
I think a peace sign soldiers stash or fortunate son would be nice to have but otherwise I don't really like unusually either. Australiums and most wep skins too
I had a dream last night that I got an Unusual Strange Frying Pan with the Flaming effect, and I'm really sad it wasn't real.

I had something like that too, but instead i was unboxing a Unusual Strange Infernal Impaler with a blue burning flames effect. But i was able to wear it on the Pyro instead of the Soldier in my dream.
I also had a weird ass HUD that looked like Dota's HUD.
Does anyone know where I can find that mod that tweaks navigation graphs and various console commands to slightly improve the training bots?
Think I'm done with TF2 for a while now.
My skill has been steadily deteriorating simply because I don't play TF2 as much as I used to. I don't play TF2 as much as I used to because I've grown incredibly tired of pubs. I don't play competitive because I don't want to immerse myself within that level of gameplay. I'm in a weird position where I'm in between competitive and casual, but don't want to deal with the restrictiveness of competitive nor the carelessness of casual.
Since there's no middle-man between both (which I see as a Valve-supported competitive gamemode with levels similar to CS:GO), I've got no real reason to play. It's really not an assessment of skill so much as it is how little skill or how little your team cares. And if I play with family, it's a royal devastation of the opposing team.
It sucks when you want to enjoy a game but can't - especially when you don't care about any other games.
Anyone else lose contract progress?
I've got a contract that i'm doing so badly at, I was at 63 points and now i'm at 50
I've been playing less and less because the death of small community servers meant the death of players at my skill level; better than those potatoes who try to heal with the syringe gun, but worse than comp players and the better pubstompers.
Also because sv_pure 1 is crap.
Also because my laptop has some weird issues with TF2 that aren't as bad in any other game where my GPU acts like it's overheating at oddly low temperatures and I develop cancerous growths on my viewmodels and eventually crash

why
I'd love to do a Facepunch server but it wouldn't be populated enough and you'd see the same players all the time.
I wish I was around when there were enough FP members to fill a tf2 server on a regular basis
